Bam Bam Rios - Excellent pressure fighter

i think you're wrong, compared to his older fights he has improved, he didn't look anything special early on and look how far he's come.

he also has an excellent trainer in robert garcia who says rios is far from the finished article and plans on improving him much more.

 

He's a good, very effective fighter. Bad, bad young man


Valero KO1 Rios

 

He doesn't plant his feet a lot, thats my problem. I don't think its really comparable to fighting a boxer that does because its going to be more difficult for Rios to implement his style against someone that is punching with authority. Thats the key to keeping him under wraps and exploiting his methodical style. A good boxer, with a good dig is going to exploit that footwork all night long. I sound like a broken record going on about footwork but it is the most important thing at the top level and I'm not overawed by his. If you do allow him to get in close he's deadly though.

Footwork is why John Murray is going to come a cropper thats for sure. Only Murray hasn't really got the offensive prowess or power of Rios either which makes him quite a few levels below.

 

On 'roids he would've been a killer but I think Rios would've convinced him to hang it up.

 

With roids and HGH Valero would have been the next Fighting Harada. He had the perfect style for HGH, we've seen how its worked for Pacquiao and he was a southpaw with speed and power also.

valero was one fighter rios especially would not have been able to bully round the ring imo most fighters would of struggled with valero imho

I still think JMM would do him in. Maybe being dropped once or twice along the way as hes known to do. Depends how much hes got left especially after the pac fight.
