Rios via late round stoppage. Katsidis too crude and shop worn. He's a warrior, but he's had too many battles for the young lion.
Katsidis might prove to much and it's a fight I would Love to see.. Katsidis is a monster....and Rios a Beast. So who knows. I do know that he has a better chance defeating rios with his style then Marquez or Guerrero who would counter and defend his relentless attack. It would be a better version of Antillon Rios
I fear for Katsidis nowadays. But can you imagine if he'd got his hands on Hatton instead of Lazcano? Would've broke some hearts there.

This. Katsidis maybe wins a few of the earlier rounds. Probably stuns Rios but he will lose. I would love to see it though.
It's a horrible matchup, IMO...a young, hungry, relentless, strong fighter vs a washed up aging fighter with a ton of heart. Rios KO 5-8 while winning every round.
Lazcano had him on wobbly legs, and he was coming off a big loss which obviously ****ed with him a bit, I've no doubt Katsidis would've took him out. And I'm a big Hatton fan, he's the reason I watch boxing today. I just didn't see the best of him that night, and a higher calibre opponent would've stopped him getting back to the top.
Are you serious? Antillon is on a higher level than Katsidis. Not to mention Katsidis has paper skin and Rios jab seems to do alot of cutting damage to fighters. I honestly dont see this one lasting very long. 1-3 rounds again and Katsidis should not take this fight. The Guerrero fight was bad enough. Let him take on lesser hitters as he looks like he wont be able to take the punishment for long. Rios-Guerrero is the fight I want to see and im still saying Guerrero beats Rios. these guys were made for each other similar to Morales and Barrera. I can see them having a fight at 135 140 and 147 at the highest possible level. both guys are huge for LW and will outgrow it soon enough along with having alot of skill to go with their physical attributes.
Thats a fight i would like to see. I think Antillon while shopworn is not as past it as Katsidis. He just looks old in the ring. If Katsidis went in there fighting Rios toe to toe like that it would not end well for him. Antillon-Katsidis actually has the makings of a FOTY
I think kats is being a bit underestimated, marquez and guerrero are sharp boxers, a guy like rios is exactly how kats wants to fight
