didn't he score a knockdown and win nearly every round?

been champ from flyweight to LWW and is seen as the best WW in the world today.

how highly do you rate him to say he's overrated?

He's overrated in the sense of people considering him "the GOAT", top 10, or top 20 but the man is near there which still means a lot and is the face of boxing right now. He has dominated every division he's been in and a slick, black fighter is accusing an "asian midget" of taking steroids and is too chicken to fight him. Fighters like Pacquiao who achieve what he did/does or come near that only come around every 20-30 years so let's treasure the remaining time with him just as long as he stops cherrypicking. Every fighter needs a few gimmies but post-Clottey he's been facing nothing but gimmie-type of fights which is annoying. Other than that I like watching him, hope he grows a pair again to face a young, hungry fighter, and no doubt he is a great fighter/ATG.

With the Shane fight, people are forgetting that Shane was DONE and it's hard to look great against a negative fighter anyways. Fight should've never happened(i.e. Pacquiao should not have cherrypicked Shane or Floyd for any matter).

To a degree, every athlete with a huge/good-sized fanbase gets overrated from time to time so that's not Manny's fault.

I agree with the TS but for different reasons. I think Pacquiao is a good fighter but not great. They are really over rating him and its going to be a hard fall once he face someone who is really trying to beat him and some staged fight by Arum. Mayweather will stand toe to toe with him and dismantle him from the inside to the outside.

Neither Floyd nor Manny have been consistent with building a GOAT legacy although they both continue to dominate their opponents. What I mean by consistency, is that they both venture to where the money is. I disagree that the fights made were gimme fights. They we good choices given the availability of opponents and any ATG would do the same if the money was there. The younger opponents are coming into the picture by means of attrition, so after Marquez there are more younger fighters to choose from.

    Prime ATGs?? :D

Barrera - shot, way too many wars
Morales - shot (even when Morales schooled him the first time)
Marquez - He beat Pacquiao BOTH times
De La Hoya - 36 years old, past it and dehydrated who dropped to 145 from 160+
Cotto - damaged goods after being almost killed by bricks
Margarito - really???(and this is the guy Pac beat to be octupal "champ")
    Clottey - Another really???
    Diaz - Yet another really??
Molsley - 40 years old, the guy is only fighting for a paycheck and pacquiao being a suspected cherry picker conveniently picks him for his next bout.

The only guy he fought that was a legitimate threat as far as being PRIME, great fighter AT THE TIME, and not shot or overrated in any way was Marquez. And we all know he beat Pacquiao both times, at least most critics saw it that way. The only people who say Pacquiao won is his corner and his "*******s" and of course the judges who were watching another fight. Everyone else knows who really won.

    lol ... you're an idiot.

If thats how you look at Pac's resume than I would love to see how you would justify Mayweather's resume being better.

Calling Pac overrated is like saying no fights count or mean anything once they stopped having 15 round fights.

By your theory Pacquiao was shot himself after being KTFO 2x so at worst he is the best shot fighter that ever walked the universe.

    Ya dig?
