Benn Vs Barkley - no 3 knock down rule??

I think Barkley would have won - Benn could knock him down but not hurt him that badly - Benn seemed more hurt when he went down.i think a couple more rounds and Benn would of been stopped.

Benn would have given him a sustained brutal beating probably ending in 3 rounds. His punches were faster, shorter, more accurate and got there first, neither had a much of a defense and both were bombers so that's all that mattered

Benn's cornerman 'I just went round to Barkley's corner, they think we're mugs and you're just going to go in and throw wide overhand rights' Benn 'TOO ****ING RIGHT I WILL'

Depends on if the ref would have let Benn continue to foul...

I always thought Barkley would have recovered at the end of round 1 and stopped Benn in 2. It was just a matter of one clean punch landing by Barkley and Benn being stopped. Regardless, before this fight the thought was either guy could win by knockout. They were both punchers, but Benn was quicker and that is why he won the first fight.

This fight always angers me. I think Benn overpowers Barkley in the end, but man, those canvas whacks were EGREGIOUS. Perhaps the worst I've seen. Benn was a horrific fouler when it came to late hits. Inexcusable.

    This fight pisses me off.

Reminds me of Lennox landing a combo on that guy when he was on his knees and getting away with it :-:)-:)-(

another thing:Barkley was coming off a long layoff due to caterac surgery and had ballooned over 200lbs.He should have taken a tuneup or two before this bout because he was weight drained.Bad move, but barkley was such a warrior. As you know the fight was at 160lbs.You got to give benn credit though,he got the job done in style. He beat Doug Dewitt in war as well.

And Dewitt was a good fighter himself. Better than anyone gave him credit for at the time.
