How do you see this fight going? Kell is a big Welterweight and Paul says he can make 147. With Williams on the slide and Kell trying to make a name for himself, would you watch this fight?
I agree. If he could make 147 that easily, why wasnt he fighting the likes of Mosley and Berto. Even if he killed himself to make 147, i'd still pick him to beat Brook. We just dont no enough about him yet.
Brook should be put in with Williams soon if he can make the weight, if he loses, so what?, Paul is a good fighter, if he wins, it shows he can mingle with the fringe of the elite. Then throw him in with Mike Jones. Beat him up, then on to the next level. It would be a great action fight which is why Eddie should do it!.
Williams all day long in this one if he could make the weight. But Brook vs Malignaggi could be interesting! Still not sure on Brook as a world champion beater yet?
Kell is getting a bit ahead of himself in my opinion. Calling out Khan etc... ReTweeting everyones messages saying he'd smash Khan. Not the way to go about it in my opinion.
Yea your right! I understand why they do it but when you look at Amir he praises Floyd while calling him out not insulting him. What makes it worse Amir at 147 would take Brook to pieces.
Agreed mate, Kell should get some fights under his belt first. Some good fights stateside @ 147 for him, Malignaggi, Clottey, Mosley etc... Get some top quality scalps then call Khan out. Khan will dispose of Judah then there is nothing for him at 140 unless Bradley stops being a ******.
Thats true! Still think Khan has Bradleys number on that one and Bradley knows it thats why he is holding out for a Pac fight! The problem for him is unless he fights soon he will get stripped! Would not supprise me if Khan and Bradley decided thats they would wait till after the Judah fight so the IBF would be on the line as well.
In fairness to Williams, nobody at 147 wanted any part of him after he knocked Quintana out. He had to move to 154 and 160 to get any fights at all.
Oh i agree, people did avoid him like the plague. But Berto wanted to prove himself by fighting Shane. He could have muscled his way in. But thats easily said from here i suppose
yep very true, and who the hell would want any part of a 6foot plus 10stone 7pounder williams is far from shot, lara just out boxed him on the night and had his tactics better and i would be stunned if there wasnt rightfully a rematch given. I see brook-williams being a close one as long as kell doesnt go to america and immediately try and become something he isnt and abandon whats got him here so far
Williams is an odd case. I've never been very sold on him - his punching technique is appalling, he has next to no defence and very few of his punches land considering his output. He throws hundreds of pitty-pat shots that miss and, of the few that do land, he does no damage. He's a sucker for overhand powershots from the left or right, he's useless at range, and he gives up all of his advantages in close. And worst of all? He's learnt nothing in his pro career since beating Margarito. He fights the exact same way, with no new wrinkles. If anything he's even worse. I don't think it's that he's shot, I just think he's a primadonna who has decided he's both better and more popular than he actually is.
at this stage 2years ago i had him as THE potential suitor to mayweathers crown. Largely based on a solid record but also on that his size on the night could be a deciding matter. But something does appear to be lacking at the moment, round by round he is getting caught in lulls and starting to look very jermain taylor esque one or two more martinez knockouts would be a shame for PW because he genuinely did bring a lot to the table not so long ago and was the most devalued fighter in the sport a bit like the role tim bradley is playing today
