I aint arguing my good man, nothing gave me greater pleasure than being there the night Ricky spanked Martinez againt the odds, there will never be a boxing night that will top it in my lifetime as a boxing fan anyway.

However, as much as I dont want to agree with the haters, ****** has to deliver the big fights soon, cos Rickys aty his prime & it would be a crying shame if ****** ****ed up Burns career like he did Scottys.

Billy Nelson doing his best to make Brit fans hate his fighters.

Hopefully Burns comes through this looking very good and takes on one of the leading contenders in his next fight.

Can not say this fight really interests me and it is certainly the least anticipated fight on the show never mind in British world championship boxing history.

To be fair, I had guzzled a few scrumpy ciders(yup englanders, I like your cider:D) so was a bit harsh on ******, who after all along with your good self, saved the Ricksters career:good

Well your the man in the know Billy, I would love to hear more! However I doubt you will spill the beans on all the shenanigans that went on as Scottys career spiralled out of control, & thats fair enough.

Just make sure Ricky beats Cook Billy & tell the Rickster to dedicate one of his punches to Scotty:hey, I still havent forgotten Cook saying the Harrison fight never happened cos Scotty was 'scared' of him:lol: Then you & Frank please do your damndest to get Ricky another big fight, if even just to shut up the angry mob of shameless hypocrites on this thread:deal

I haven't paid too much attention to this match up 'till now, but if I'm honest, it ****ing stinks. It's one thing to have easy defences (it has been known before...), but this takes the ****.

Nicky Cook getting a shot at a major title simply cannot be justified, by any stretch of the imagination, not even as a non title "keep busy" fight.

It's no wonder boxing has been dropped by the BBC/ITV if this is what qualifies as a"World Championship Boxing". It's ****ing disgraceful.

I'd say, judging by the number of posts and number of views, this is one of the more eagerly anticipated all British world title fights.;)

Claypole -- another hater. You can't express your disdain for this matchup without being a hater. It automatically means you despise Ricky Burns.

This isn't a football forum, and I'm not talking about football. Anyway, I'm not critisizing this fight because it may or may not be exciting, I'm critisizing it because it's meant to be for a "World Title", and one of the fighters has done absolutely nothing to get a shot.

If we pay to watch a World Title fight, is it too much to expect that the protagonists are world class, or at least fringe world class? Nicky Cook is neither, and considering this fight will no doubt involve people getting punched repeatedly in the head, for possibly 12 rounds, shouldn't we be questioning how safe this might be for Cookie?

**** sake, talk about over egging the pudding! You would think Cook was being dragged out of the old folks home for this one the way you lot are harping on! Hes a former european & world champion FFS, not a cabbage!

Look, you got me swearing now, on a fine sunny day like this too:-(
