All that trash talk from KW and Seth got the best and last line in. KW is indeed a nobody who is going nowhere. No sense in wasting energy on him.
Me too, although he'll have to use his wits to cope with that long & strong jab. Also, if Kingpin decides to finally grow a pair and fight to his full potential (which part of me feels we haven't actually seen; previously because he got lazy and fought down to his opponents' level and then out of paralyzing fear against Vitali) it could actually become a war where Seth's whiskers get tested. Something tells me Johnson can pack a punch if he ever decided to sit down on them...and he may feel cornered and desperate at this point in his career since he's already flirting with irrelevance and seems to want the spotlight. This would be a huge win for Mitchell and he'd certainly deserve a major step toward contention and career payday opportunity afterward (such as the 800lb elephant they were discussing; Arreola).
Kevin Johnson is kind of a *****. After his (non)performance against Vitali no one should really even be talking about him. Or at least pretend not to know who he is.
kevin johnson is actually a good boxer. no power but his skill level is good. There's a reason he's not getting decent fights. high risk/low reward...........its simply not worth higher ranked guys fighting him. that being said, at the upper echelon his lack of power in the HW division will keep him from being a champ but if he had someone to guide his career the right way, he could have a moderate career as a upper level gatekeeper. That fight against Vitali was embarrasing though LOL
Well if you looked at both Kevin Johnson and V. Klit after the fight you would have thought Kevin won. When Kevin decided to throw he busted up V. Klit with that jab and he showed he has a good chin that's why he can still market himself some.
There is no way Golden Boy puts Mitchell in with Johnson now. 1 Way too much risk to reward 2 HBO probably isn't putting Johnson on again any time soon 3 Johnson beats Mitchell all day long. Mitchell is being groomed to be a big deal at heavyweight and Golden Boy isn't going to risk him with Johnsonjat this point in his career. I read a list of possible choices for Mitchell's next fight and the list wasn't very promising outside of Michael Grant who atleast has size, experience, and name value. I'd really like to see Mitchell take on Stiverne, I think thats a good style match up between two prospects looking to move closer to contender status but Stiverne will most likely sit on his ranking until he has to step up again. Johnson has a lot of talent and could be a threat to a lot of fighters out there. His performance with Vitali was sad and has hurt his career. He's now a high risk low reward fighter and is going to have to string some decent wins together and hope he gets in a title eliminator or another high ranking.
This is exactly why COMPUBOX is a joke. Johnson lost becasue he barely threw I understand that, but VK didn't land anywhere near 141 punches. COMPUBOX is **** as determining whether a punch landed are missed. Its a complete farce.
Kevin Johnson struggled against Julius Long. The guy is a feather fisted joke that has no place to talk **** to anyone.
