No Way in Hell Froch beats Ward!!

he hasnt been hit flush cause his defense is very good. the same can be said of hopkins or even mayweather. they dont get hit flush on a consistent basis cause they have excellent defences.

1. Ward has suspect whiskers because he's been dropped and rocked by less-than-spectacular punches.

2. Chins don't improve and Ward hasn't proven those incidents to be flukes or harbingers of a truly fragile mandible because he hasn't been hit flush. That is due to outstanding head and lateral movement.

3. Not getting hit doesn't mean you don't have a mushy mandible.

Do you actually believe a forgien fighter can win a fight against a rated US figher on American soil by Decison? It is very rare esp a SD. Calazghe is the last one I can think of.

 

1. The point of this thread was to determine if there was a tangible way for Froch to beat Ward.

2. While Froch is considerably outgunned in the boxing department he has a great chin and a solid punch and Ward doesn't appear to take a punch so well. Obviously Froch will have chances to land since Ward will go hard on the inside and since his jaw isn't steel, he'll probably crumble if hit solidly. That's the clearest way for Froch to win.

3. Chins always matter. Having mandibular fortitude is the most important and central attribute a fighter can possess and no matter how slick the boxer, eventually all jaws are caught and many will shatter.

 

i agree. to beat ward the best way is to knock him out. i just dont see it happeneing.

I bet you think its fair how the out of the 3 original S6 fighters how in the 3 fights 4 fights they have had since the start of the S6 the other 2 original members have fought away the last 3 times whilst Ward has stayed at home and that looks to be how the S6 will finish, with Froch on the road a 4th time and Ward in his home country :-(.
