Truth is usally that is the way it goes down, basicly you dont want your prize fighter to get cut during sparring that could potenially delay the fight. I am sure its not for any sort of advantage how could it be you do not win or lose in sparring...

Pac's actual fights use an 8 or 10 oz gloves (can't be bothered looking it up) while Gayweather wants the fight during the first negotiations to be a 12 oz one.

If Gayweather wants the fight at 12 ounce, does his sparring use 24 ounces gloves.

By simple rule of extrapolation, if an actual fight is 8 or 10 ounces but the sparring is using 16 oz, then Gayweather who wants to fight using 12 ounces GRANT gloves probably spars using 24 ounces.

But obviously, since you are a moron and everything need to be explained in a kindergarten way for you to understand. Do you want me to make a simple illustration like a stick figure ones otherwise your dumb brain would implode from the absence of any substance in your head?
