Knockout cold twice? You're way wrong. Lewis first lost was by tko in which he got back up but the ref wave it off in which the ref stop the fight that made Lewis mad. <<<That was a tko. Lewis was ko by Rahman but wasn't knockout cold as you say. Lewis try to get up and i thought the ref counted way too fast cause i thought Lewis would have got up on time but oh well. But Lewis was not knockout cold. Knockout cold is fighters like Williams, Hatton, Jones and more.
you're right. I might have injected a little bit of hyperbole in that staement. But you got the jist of what i was trying to say, right? I get too excited sometimes when discussing boxing, and especially trying to belittle lewis. He beat up all my favorites, golota, ruddock, tyson, holyfield
And in other news, scientists have conducted a multi-million dollar study titled "Can bees think?" No, the study has found. They can not.
I object. Lewis did have a good chin. If you have an iron chin like McCall or Chuvalo then your chin isn't 'good', it's excellent. So Lewis' was pretty good.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIRShCBKwng[/ame] Lennox Lewis had an Iron Chin A video I put together a few years ago to prove Lewis`s chin wasnt bad at all and that he did take many big punches well including from Tua who many people said never landed anything!
I'm a big Lewis fan but he didn't have a good chin. He had a decent chin, a bit better than average, it was far from being glass though. He could take a decent punch but a good shot from a big puncher always had him hurt. I would define a good chin as a guy who can take a big punch from a big hitter and not be too badly effected. A great chin as a guy who can take multiple flush shots through the course of a round and still not go down.
Agreed. I feel like we're arguing semantics here. For me, if your chin is better than average, then you have a good chin. There are a number of examples where Lewis took flush shots, and took them pretty well. Plus, these are heavyweights. But I think we're more or less on the same page.
