Alright guys, after every week im going to do a little bit of news, concluding the weeks fights and sorting out mandatories and such.

HEAVYWEIGHT NEWS AND VIEWS, WEEK 2

    FIGHT OF THE WEEK
Without a shadow of a doubt, Michael Grant Vs Martin Rogan. The two fighters brought their A-game and exchanged brutal shots throughout the 10 round war. Grant, the much better boxer, often imposed his dominance by staying at range and not allowing Rogan to unload punches in bunches. However, Rogan, when he did unload his shots looked brutally good and powerful. A rematch has been signed, and one has to be more interested in Grant here - does he dominate with his boxing like he showed he could - or does he give the fans another classic war?

Honourable Mentions : Shannon Briggs Vs Monte Barret, Denis Boystov Vs David Tua.

    FIGHTER OF THE WEEK
There were a lot of big, stellar performances this and a lot of people could of gained the award, but for me , Sergei Liakhovich earned this honour by outpointing hot prospect Bermane Stiverne over 10 rounds. Stiverne, a hot prospect, was the favourite for the bout and it showed in the first 2 rounds, as he unloaded great combinations and looked good. However, a mark of a great fighter is the ability to adapt - which is what Sergei did - and then totally out boxed and out foxed Bermane (who himself couldnt adapt) for the 10 round distance. Liakhovich has 3 losses to his name - but looked every bit as good as the prospect they touted him to be a few years ago.

Honourable mentions : Audley Harrison, David Price, Alexander Povektin

    UPSET OF THE WEEK
Sergei Liakhovich UD10 Bermane Stiverne. As stated above, Liakhovich hadnt really seen his potential in the pro's, wheras highly touted Stiverne had many rave reviews. However - this fight was the opposite way around, with Liakhovich dominating nearly all the fight, and looking brilliant in doing so.

Honourable mention : Vyacheslav Glazkov NC1 Dominic Guinn

    KNOCKOUT OF THE WEEK
There were a few lovely, crisp knockouts this week, but for me when Alexander Povektin knocked out Derrick Rossy cold in the 4th round, a chill went down my spine. The heavyweight referee's are into question at the moment, and so should be the one from this fight. Rossy had just got up at 9, and was all over the place, his legs buckled without a punch landing and as he swayed to the right, a left hook landed straight on his chin - knocking him out cold.

Honourable mentions : Deontay Wilder KO2 Gabe Brown, Mike Perez KO1 Jason Gavern.
    ---

    GOVERNING BODIES NEWS.

The WBA,WBO,IBO and IBF have stated that Vitali Klitschko must face Ruslan Chagaev next in defending all titles. The WBC have stated that they would prefare him to face Alexander Povektin but will wait untill this fight is over before putting that into place.

The IBA have stated that they want Michael Grant to cancel his rematch with Martin Rogan to face Edmund Gerber in an eliminator to face James Toney. If he does not, he immediatly loses his IBA rating and Gerber faces Mariuz Wach instead.

Controversially, the BBofC have stated that Larry Olubamwio Vs Danny Williams is a eliminator for the British and English titles. Tyson Fury is free to defend against who he pleases next time out - if he chooses to defend his belts.

The EBU / EU have stated if either or both Mariuz Wach and Edmund Gerber face off in an IBA eliminator, both will be stripped of their Top 10 European rankings.

The USBA have order James Toney face Tony Thompson next for the title, whilst Chris Arreola must face Seth Mitchell for the winner to fight for the title next.

    PLEASE READ
Two notes - always read the governing body news, and secondly, a request - when stating the fights you want please will you give me a number of rounds (4,6,8,10,12) to simulate it over - Im putting the prospects in rounds I feel right atm and will do if you dont specify, but dont come crying if your 7-0 prospect is knocked out in the 11th round after winning the first 10 !

Is age a factor in this?

Age as a number isnt a factor, but fighters age naturally in the sence of what part of their career they are in, Begining,Pre Prime, Prime, Post Prime and Retired. No fighters will retire unless you choose to retire someone in your stable however. Various things can effect the ageing process - a few knockout losses and your confidence is gone - and maybe your prime with it. A few stats will edit themselves on your fighter also - If you get cut then your going to have scar tissue and it might get to the stage were it opens every fight.... Just a note though - I will never tell you what part of his career your fighter is in - you should be able to work it out due to experience and fight performanes :happy

    I think thats a wise move !

    Low Blow Promotions:

    All 12 round fights.

    David Price v Neven Pajkic
    Mike Perez v Albert Sosnowski
    Derek Chisora v Malik Scott

We want to bring Malik Scott out of retirement! And as a sweetener if he beats Chisora we will sign him to Low Blow Promotions on a 4 fight deal culminating in a title shot. And Chisora will have his contract torn up if he loses so there is a lot on the line.

Titties & Beer Promotions asks for the following fights in the next round:

Chris Arreola vs. Seth Mitchell - 10 rounds

Arreola says. "I want James Toney and the USBA title. I'm the best fighter in America and I'm ready to beat the bacon off his fat ass. But, before that happens I need to take care of Seth Mitchell. The 0 has got to go."

Robert Helenius vs. Alexander Dimitrenko - 12 rounds

Helenius, speaking Finnish, mumbled some **** that nobody at the press conference could translate. However, one thing was clear: He challenges Dimitrenko!

Wladimir Klitschko vs. Alexander Povetkin - 12 rounds

Wladimir Klitschko, meanwhile, says: "I have to give congratulations to my big brother, Vitali. He is great fighter and caught me with a perfect punch. Vitali was upset that Lewis ducked him after he was winning on scorecards and the fight was stopped. I think he will give me second chance to prove which brother is the best. However I will work my way back up, as I have done before. The first stop is the Euro title and Alexander Povetkin. He's been ducking me for years and its time for him to come take his beatings like a man."

Yeah i will be especially interested in that one. I would have expected better from Chisora in his last 2 outings, think he could be on the wrong side of a UD if he doesnt up his game! WAR BOTH!! :deal

The Mitchell Fight is one definitley - unless Mitchell's promoter pulls him out which means your automatically #1 contender after Toney's next fight.

Helenius will defend his European Union title against Dimitrenko.

And you have to make sure Povektin's promoter accepts the fight. Wlad is classed above European level and isnt in the rankings - but if you fight someone in the top 10 then you will get ranked and Povektin wont be able to duck you ! But yes - Povektin has a choice to not accept the fight if he see's fit this time - and if he does accept he has no obligation to defend his title.

Mahdoton promotions are pleased of the fight results.

However we still protest treatment of Shannon "The Cannon" Briggs in rankings.
Man has beaten two top 10 ranked heavies easily and he isn’t in any ranking. This injustice can’t continue and we will urge every promoter to join us to rid boxing from this king of corruption.

Following what some say "controversial" stoppage our promotion has this to say

Everyone who knows boxing it was a right stoppage. Wellinger had no change and he was outclassed entire night. Him crying in interviews doesn’t change the truth that he was badly hurt and out of his league.

JT has this to say " Vitallia you *****. Unify these titles right now or are you scared? Scared like a little white *****? You show you are a real man and stop ducking me. Unify the titles with a real peoples champ James Toney. "

Wlad of course is only interested in a title fight.

We are asking the WBC/IBF/WBA/WBO/IBO to sanction this fight for their Intercontinental Championships.

Due to the impending threat of a lawsuit, the WBO and USBA have decided that Chauncy Welliver is undeserving of his ranking and that Shannon Briggs will replace him in both rankings, with immediate effect.

The WBC,IBF,WBA,WBO,IBO are willing to sanction the winner of Wladimir Klitschko and Alexander Povektin as their interim champions - however Povektin has not yet accepted the bout and he is already in a position to challenge Vitali for the WBC and Ring titles after Vitali's first defence.
