give him time to organise things. He had a hard time trying to organise Haye-Wlad, it took him 3 years for the fella deserves a rest :good
I thought the title was "DeGale now shot EBU official" and that James had gone on some kind of murderous rampage which I'd missed
When Frankie "forgot" to sort the officials out in a £500,000 fight despite routinely fixing 6x3 contests at Aldershot Ice Rink.
I said at the time that Frankie and DeGale would just ignore the Groves fight and get on with his career as if the loss hasn't happened.
And why wouldn't they? On another night De Gale could have easily been given the decision (there was nothing in it really) and people would still be talking rubbish about him beating the elite of the division. He shouldn't take a step back in my opinion. Not that I agree with him walking into a EBU shot after losing, but if he can get away with it, power to him.
Well DeGale doesn't look like he has lost any confidence over it. Loser fights for Euro strap, winner fights a journeyman in an empty arena on a GBP undercard?:think
Doesn't mean it wasn't a dodgy decision. I honestly believe its just accepted far more because DeGale's a bit of a ****. So its okay.
Steady on big fella!! I didn't say he should take a step back, I just said they wouldn't and they havn't...:deal
There was a round in it either way and thats what the 3 judges cards came in with. Barring the draw, which was a real possibility, someone has to lose a close fight. That doesn't make it dodgy.
Groves's performance didn't do a lot for me in that fight. Yes, he exposed some of DeGale's weaknesses. But I still felt like DeGale did most of the good substantial work. Groves legging it and throwing a little nothing combination that did nothing, it wasn't that impressive and DeGale should have got the nod if anyone. Plus WTF was with scoring the last round for Groves? That was terrible and changed the outcome, should have been a DeGale W.
Well he's Wárren's "star" so Wárren can't afford to take a step back even if he wanted to. He has ppv's to flog.
