The 3 judges from Lara-Williams have been suspended by the NJ athletic commission!

its difficult though, there should be one organization that controls the sanctioning bodies and we have clear rules and consequenses for certain situations.
Robberies are one of the things that hurt boxing the most along with boxers ducking and to many belts and titles and boxers being stripped. So control over the sanctioning bodies and the judges is what we need then boxers are forced to fight the best if they want to be champion.
But how to achieve this when everyone but the fans is benefiting from this?

 

Problem with what? Nothing has been turned back yet, I think you're jumping the gun a bit.

From what I've seen, they've only suspended the judges. So all that means is that they've determined that the judges' incompetence is hindering them from accurately judging fights; therefore, they are being removed from the pool of judges.

Now if they find out that there is some fraud involved, I am okay with them ruling it a no contest; but for now, they've only punished the judges, which is what you said you'd rather see.

 

Wins should not be overturn, unless its has to do with a bad call for a knockdown or loss a point by a foul that was not there. Which leads me to say replay should really be used to overturn bad calls. But im glad to see someone hold the judges accountable for there bias.

 

They r not bad judges they r corrupt and they should not b in any fight regardless of the importance, what we need is a federal commission with one set of rules for everyone, like baseball, football, basketball etc.. that is what we need, one champ for every weight class, this way the crooked promoters will not b able to influence the judges because they will b pay by the commission and not by the them, do you really want to c those judges scoring another fight?

 

What if they find proof that the judges were paid to give Williams the victory? Are you okay with them making it a NC then?

Imo they should suspend the people that selected these noob judges, none with any big fight experience. Yes, you can start judging the big ones at some point in your career, but not all three at the same time. Someone is just covering their ass here.

 

They have been ****ing up for two hundred years now, and overturning a DEC is not erasing the incident is making a wrong, right, and setting a precedent, I'm OK with the NC but leaving Lara with the L is more wrong than give him the Win he rightfully deserved.

 

Decisions should be overruled.

If everyone viewing for a TV network is outraged and there is public outcry why not have a panel of a large enough number (say 20) view the footage and score it. If it's unanimously or even 90% agreed that there was an injustice then overturn the ****er.

Let's get rid of the Matthyse/Judah and Alexander judges, Martinez/Cintron and Williams l judges, Clottey/Cotto and Margarito judges, Hopkins/Calzaghe and Pascal judges. Who else, the judges in marquez/Pacquiao 2, dlh/mosley 2, holyfield/lennox l, chavez/whitaker, Leonard/hearns 2...man I could go on and on.

 

Finally something is being done about these ludicrous decisions that happen far too often in boxing.

 

Oki but how do we get an federal comission, the sanctioning bodies will not want this, they will just reject the idea, only way it can happen if boxers want it and start lobbying for it along with writers and fans.

 

They need to sit in a room with several experienced judges and re-score the fight. Done deal. If they have lara winning give it to lara, if its to williams then to williams. Nothing unfair about that.
