:good I wouldn't overturn the decision, but id take the loss away, and order immediate rematch. This is still a slippery slope to travel though.

big time HBO boxing and they have local yokals judging and ive seen my share of refs who go from the boys club gym to undefeated top 15 prospects and stop fights when a flury of punches are unleashed and they have never seen anything like that.....

John McCain wanted to set up a federal commission. I believe he wanted to put it under the interstate commerce clause. But that would have put government officials in charge of boxing.

We've already seen how well they run the post office and DMV, so it probably wouldn't have solved much.

So you are down with the corruption? It is ok for you what the judges did to Lucas, macklin, Lara etc.. There is no slippery slope if you making the sport better, for years baseball refuse to use instant replay and now the are using it for certain calls and the sport is much better because of that.

well this would be the first i have ever heard of a reversal...its a judgement call, no matter how bade the judgement is...no different than these dumb **** jury members who convict people with no evidence and let people go where theres everything nut a video to show you did it... i blame the commissions for approving morons like that judging a fight...

Davis said that the review of the fight was complete and the NJSACB "has not found any evidence of bias, fraud, corruption or incapacity on the part of any of the judges. However, we remain unsatisfied with the scoring of the contest even after hearing the explanations from the judges.

"The NJSACB does not have the legal authority under these circumstances to invalidate the official result. This is due to the fact that all scoring is a matter of subjective judgment. In a similar fashion we cannot mandate a rematch. However, our opinion is that a rematch may be warranted.

but baseball uses it for obvious errors by a human , meaning if a ball was fair or foul.... but they wont look at a called third strike and the guys gets another chance to hit because it was actually a ball. replay in boxing would work on how cuts happen, fouls, ect...but it wont ever be used to score a fight or correct a judge

It could be a slippery slope but here's what we have, 3 people, not beyond corruption, imperfect, basically deciding the futures of men who've put their heart and soul into something they believe in and love, it's crazy.

For a while I've felt there should be more judges, 7-9-11 or more, 3 is too open for corruption. Having a panel review dodgy decisions is a good way forward too.

Lara did nothing wrong to deserve the L either. So just let that stand? You only care about how this affects Pdub evidently.

Not if you pay the jurors, not if you pay the judges, I think this is good for boxing is time to clean the sport and our yelling is what got the ball rolling, the power of the internet.

Was a reason given for the suspension? There may be more to it and corruption may be involved. So far I've just seen what what posted here which isn't much.

strike and balls are different than beating a guy from pillar to post and getting screw by corrupts judges, if you have a panel that can review the fights that are clearly a robbery and have the power to overturn the DEC, it will send a message, remember that every Umpire has his own strike zone and the pitcher and hitters will have 9 innings to adjust, boxing has his own rules and judges have to follow those rules, effective aggression, ring generalship, defense and who does the more damage and connect the better punches, I think Lara was far better in every department than Williams.

This was not a title fight. Goosen hired the judges probably. It all depends on the commission though. In some states the commission appoints all judges but the promoter still pays them.
