Seems like they've conducted Olympic style testing at the Olympics.

    http://www.dailybruin.com/index.php/article/2002/01/ucla-analysts-head-to-games-to

Sixty members of the UCLA Olympic Analytical Laboratory travel today to Salt Lake City to begin collecting blood and urine samples from some 1,000 competitors as part of the International Olympic Committee’s drug testing policies.
“We are the only North American lab qualified for this sort of assignment,” said Dr. Don Caitlin, founder and director of the West Los Angeles lab and a member of the IOC Medical Commission. “Most of our staff has received training and experience for over 10 years, (and) a couple of them were with us in ’84 (for the Summer Olympics in Los Angeles).”

I would say they're quite qualified.

I would take UCLA Labs Dr. Don Caitlin over USADA's Travis Tygart any day of the week. Tygart isn't even a Physician, he's a Lawyer and a Businessman whereas Dr.Caitlin has been the worlds leading authority for drug testing for the last 2 decades.

Because the only thing not big in BigReg is his gray mater. Big mouth, big noise, big empty!!!! Just typing without actually understanding how a complex procedure is being done.

That uis why I hate *****s, they always pretend to know more than what they actually know.

I just don't see why they just can't use USADA. I didn't relly care before what they did, but after seeing the interviews from employees of USADA and WADA, I've come to the conclusion that Arum is just coming up with crap and they need to stick to USADA.

He says lets use WADA and WADA is saying, they need to use USADA

I am not saying you said that. I am just educating you because you seem to be taking your facts out of thin air.

There is a google!!!! Try it. Better yet, try reading about Don Catlin, because he posted several medical journals and studies about doping. He is a doctor, unlike what *****s always like to quote who is a musician - Conte. It might broaden your horizon.

Here's what I do know know. Bob Arum went on record and said that he wanted WADA to oversee the testing and WADA has come out and said that the USADA should conduct the testing program. Now if that's not good for Arum, he needs to come up with a different solution. I'm not sure why you're getting so emotional about this.

Yes, and the official anti doping agency in America is not qualified to conduct an anti doping testing program. What a world we live in.

What's wrong with using another one?

Unless if the *****s again justifies this.

Just let it be done with!!!! True warriors never asked for these unprecedented tests before that they are making boxing look like it is for pussies.

I don't think they will find a more capable person in the entire planet than Dr. Caitlin. But *****s would still object?

If USADA would be running the protocol, they would still have to utilize UCLA since nevada does not have a laboratory that can tests HGH, which by the way can be tested using urine. EPO as well can now be tested accurately using urine too.

    What's wrong with using USADA.

I'm ok with them using another one, but WADA makes it very clear, that USADA needs to do the testing

I believe back in 2008 Arum had an initial issue with the USADA because of their business dealings with AEG who own a significantly large share of Golden Boy promotions. USADA just got a huge contract from AEG to oversee several of their pro cycling tours and Tygart was already making the push to expand testing to other areas of professional sports, boxing being one of them.

Not taking sides but for some reason I though most people already knew about this. It was discussed ad nauseum on every forum during the first negotiation mishap.

Call me crazy but I actually think this latest announcement by Arum brings us 1 step closer to the fight.

Never said they weren't qualified in fact they are more than qualified. However they aren't the only testing org just as qualified to conduct these types of tests, I would think there are a number of other qualified testing options.

I guess Arum probably just doesn't see them as a neutral party because of their links to AEG. Whether it's true or not, who knows, USADA doesn't exactly have a stellar rep and Uncle Bob has been in the biz longer than anyone so take it for what it's worth.

Whatever the case is I actually see the latest events as steps closer to fight being signed.
