That's not good enough. Nobody cares that these guys are getting suspended. Who knows if they are really even suspended. It could just be some statement and a month later when everybody has forgotten about it, have them judge another fight. Lara still has a "loss" on his record and Williams still has a "win."

It all sounds very official but no action or official review of these sort of events is very rarely made public

I don't get why Williams is seen as some great warrior – he really didn't want to rematch Martinez and went out f his way to stack the deck in his favour. It was incredibly satisfying seeing him lose so emphatically.

He won't want any piece of Lara since it would get him relatively little money and, chances are, he'd lose or look terrible winning. That cuts him out of any further big fights, including a rematch with Sergio.

Ultimately Williams is a primadonna with a massive ego and a fairly average skillset. Take away his workrate and what do you have? A fundamentally flawed, inaccurate puncher with no power.

Rematching Lara would just expose all of those things again. He clearly doesn't want to make improvements or adjust - the guy has spent his career eating left hooks and lead lefts and rights. And even though everyone is telling him to get a new trainer, he doesn't want to. Because he's an arrogant dick.

While I agree with what you see and have said about his boxing ability, how are you forming the impression that he's arrogant and a primmadonna?

I don't really get that impression from what I've seen; he comes across as quite likeable I think.

Although I will admit that it's not easy forming an impression on a guy who's every other word is "nawimsayin"...
