Right my problem is that it should have been clear to anyone who had done even a cursory glance at their records prior to the fight that these three were not qualified to judge a fight of this magnitude, and the person responsible for putting them in that position was himself either incompetent or corrupt. Are there going to be an consquences for that individual as well, and if not, why?

its good they were suspended. they should be held accounted for. too bad they couldnt find any more foul play from other guys involved in the fight. there is usually more than bad judging

Al Haymon was behind the crooked judging.

there's still hope for these judges. eugenia williams who scored holyfield-lewis I for holyfield (the worst scorecard of all-time imo) was elected into the new jersey boxing hall of fame earlier this year. i'm not kidding about this.

AL haymon needed Paul to win, to set a 3rd Martinez vs Williams fight.

If the ruling found that the Judging was so off in their scoring of the rounds all across the board. It would make sense to rule the fight a No Contest as well. Even if you do not agree with the majority that Lara won, the ruling of bad judging should go hand in hand with a No Contest.

For once at least something is done about the crap that's ruining boxing for decades now.

But the decision isn't reversed, so Lara is still f#cked.
Anyway this is a little bit of good news, acknowledgement of Lara beïng robbed blind and a message to the f#ckers over here who were trying to condone this sickening decision.

so the decision cannot be overturned? The judges just lose their jobs for now and have to undergo further training?
feel sorry for Lara and his team

This makes no difference to Lara in the short term. He still has that loss on his record that shouldn't be there. I am sure his bargaining power will go down despite actually winning the fight.

Great that they're taking a step in the right direction, but the judges scoring are an effect, not the cause. All three had terrible score cards, indicating either they were all very very incompetent, or that someone "influenced" their decision. With the controversy of having the promoter sitting so close to the judges, I tend to believe the latter.
