There has been quite a lot in the mirror, sun, telegraph, star and express and much more to come, there will be a lot of stuff about khan shown on ch5 during the Fury vs Chisora fight plus all our other free events next week

well I don't read newspapers, and after the recent carry on, you could perhaps understand my reasoning for that.

the press, especially those red tops, are ****ing scum.

Hyperthetically speaking, if a particular sports network were not going to let another sports network show adverts on their channel, would it be just for a particular sportsman (Cough ...Amir Khan... Cough), or would it be a network wide blackout of any fighter?

Sky can only turn down advertisers if they don't fit with the broadcast standards. It's part of broadcast plurality rules, as agreed by Ofcom. So Sky can't refuse to show Virgin Media adverts, same as ITV and 4 can't refuse Sky ads. Basically, Sky can't refuse advertising to someone just because they are a rival. And either way, they make money out of it – a LOT of money.

So, if Primetime aren't advertising it's likely that either they a) can't afford it, or b) are somewhat rubbish at promotion, or c) have another strategy to boost sales.

I read this post without looking who posted it and was thinking someone actually bought all those newspapers. I didn't know what the ****.

Totally forgot the Chisora fight was next week too. Sweet.

Venusdiablo- Is there much chance of ch. 5 dipping their toes into boxing after Chisora/Fury, or is it pretty much a one off to help with the Khan PPV?
