Yes it does make a difference.
Everybody knows now how good Lara is and no one is going to give him a free shot at a title. He needs to get to the #1 contender spot, and this loss will make it a lot harder for him.

I meant that the judges being suspended makes no difference to Lara in the short term. OF COURSE the loss makes a difference

    From the article:

Goossen offered up a hint at Williams' next opponent, and it won't be a rematch with Lara.
"A righthander," he said, "so they can't throw those lefts."

:patsch .. get this corrupt S.O.B outta there...

You just proved in one post that you know absolutely nothing about boxing and how it's supposed to be scored.

even though I think it was a close fight, because a guy gassing out after round 4 and running connecting a couple 1-2s doesn't deserve a UD... IT was close. The commentary team made you guys think it was a UD or something and brutal beat down or something, when the only guy in there running and backing up gassing out was lara while Williams pressured his ass all night.

But yeah, It should be a no contest if they think it was that bad.... and Immediate rematch/

You are the idiot, baseball is not either/or anymore, a least not when calling a homerun and that is a step forward, out/safe the umps has to call them in a split of a second, refs in boxing have 3 minutes for each round to make a fighter the winner and they see the punchs land from a least 3 angles of the ring, yes you can miss something but if after 12 rounds of beating you give the fight to the wrong person, something is up incompetence or corruption.

I said "not beyond corruption". Therefore any blatantly poor decision should be questioned and looked into.

I honestly don't see why an incredibly poor decision can't be overturned.

These judges should be suspended and demoted to small fights on their return. If questionable decisions continue then fire their asses.

Paul didn't land $hit, only his head on Lara's fists.

You don't understand boxing. Lara was not running, he was counterpunching and using lateral movements ( something tought at the Cuban boxing schools ). Pressuring an opponent is very important but it doesn't mean that a boxer can just win a match by just " pressuring " his opponent. Lara was the only one landing the hard and clean punches, even if they were 1 or 2 at a time. Williams hardly hit Lara clean and was just a punchingbag.

A boxer can use lateral movements and counter his opponent and still be beating him in landing the harder and clearer shots and that was all Lara.

So Lara was being like Mayweather? LMAO you need to watch he was backing up and running countering with a 1-2 to stop the pressuring, maybe a good example of how mosely fought against pacquiao, but lara did conntext some 1-2's while running. Lara did land some hard shots, but I think he only landed 20 more shots, while backing up and gassing out for the majority of the fight doesn't help his case in earning a clear win.

Whatever though I could care less....

No Contest and Immediate rematch should satisfy most...

Or rematch Molina who beat him but LARA was awarded a draw...

Suspend the judges. Force a rematch in the next 1 to 3 fights. If the rematch is not made by the winners' people? The decision is rendered a NC.

The fault does not lie with the fighters. The fault lies with the judges and that is where it should stay. As long as the Boxing world and organizations don't step on Lara's career? No harm. No foul.
