Here's what Lennox recently stated "I think that Wladimir believes [his chin is too weak]. That's why he's defensive, he protects his chin. He still has the rainfall of his previous fights in the back of the head. Instead of answering [David] Haye's punches with his own, or to do any infighting, he would just hold. Vitali's boxing [style makes you] uncomfortable. He is tall and uses his reach well. He throws good combinations and knows how to get his opponent off balance. Vitali is definitely the better [brother]," Lewis said. "I am a more complete boxer than Wladimir. In most of his fights, he proposes very little. I have much more in my repertoire. I work to the body, I get close to my opponent and throw uppercuts. Against Haye he showed no infighting, and only grabbed. And I saw no punches to the body. I can break the will of my opponent in the ring and I think a little faster. Wladimir I would have knocked out - probably in the middle rounds," Lewis said. Thoughts???
Lewis seems to have a little trouble distinguishing between the present form "I can break the will..." and the past "When I fought, I used to break the will..." Somebody needs to wake him up and let him know he's retired.
Vitali>Lennox>Wladimir Vitali is just as good at the age of 40 as he was when he fought Lennox Lewis. In a prime vs prime fight Vitali and Lewis fight until the 8th round where Vitali just won't go down and Lewis can't take his shots anymore and crumbles down. End of story.
Of course he'd say that. Still trying hype up his victory over Vitali, and Wlad has just beaten his mate. Wlad would dominate Vitali. FACT.
I agree with Lewis. Wlad is scared to get ko in which is why he grabs way too much but to protect his chin, he has no choice. And Lewis is right he's easily the more complete fighter then Wlad. Lewis been in wars way more then Wlad ever had. Wlad vs Haye was suppost to be a great hype up fight but instead it was boring not cause of Haye but cause of Wlad again won't take chances.
This bitter idiot tries to put down Wladimir all the time. If Wladimir would have been such a walk in the park for Lewis ...then why did he feel the need to call Corrie Sanders the night before that fight and feed Sanders what was most likely his trainers (Emanuel Steward) observations of Wladimir at the time??? I mean if it would have been such a sure knockout ...why not do your dirty work yourself Lennox? Wladimir made him very nervous ...end of story :good He knew Sanders had lightning fast hands (a lot quicker than his own) and was also a southpaw that could surprise a not so motivated Wladimir at the time.
