damn it if i had a quid for every 37yr old athlete that has called it a day.... Lewis has earned the right to talk big, hes far more highly regarded than either Klitschko added to which the vast majority of people seem to agree with him here.
wtf are you on about, Tyson was low risk, high reward and would be an ideal farewell match, he didnt need the money but you dont need to be an expert to realise easy money.
Yes the vast majority of people are always wrong and a select few are always right... you never cease to amaze with your wondeful logic.
It was contractually obligated for Tyson. Part of the HBO/SHO agreement. There was no such for Vitali.
Only in Britain mate. He was considered a boring twat in the U.S.A. during his prime years. Americans were far more intrigued by Micheal Grant and the the nutcase Golota and of-course Tyson. The K-bros are literal rock-stars in Germany and throughout Eastern Europe. Even in the states Vitali routinely sells out the Staples center when he chooses to fight there. Lewis was loved in Canada where he spent much of his adolecence, Britain and Jamaica. Lewis failed to knockout several boxers far inferior to either K-bro and noone knows how he would fare against Wlad as Lewis chose to retire and not fight Wlad or rematch Vitali.
Of course, because when Vitali retired for a spell, he NEVER keopt talking about Lewis. And Lewis isn't running down the HW division , he's telling it like it is. In case you didn't notice, it's compete **** and has been since he left. He was the last great HW champ. His opinion on the current HW's is going to be a topic for a while. If anyone's bitter, it's obviously you.
Exactly :good Lennox was never the classiest individual nor was he ever the brightest bulb on the tree.
He knows he's retired and confirmed it numerous times. This is clearly based on his good/prime years in the sport against Wladimir. He's not stupid to need a reminder that he's old and out of shape.
If he wasn't the "brightest bulb on the tree" he wouldn't have retired a champion, wealthy and living a good happy life with no regrets about anything in his boxing career, professional and amateur.
Noone is bitter. Most grown men don't like old, past their prime fighters ****-talking about present day champions. It's undignified and cowardly.
That's all very well. But, since he did refuse to give Vitali a rematch and never fought Wlad maybe he should show some class and dignity and not ****-talk about these two fine current long-term heavyweight champions.
Terrible comeback. Calzaghe schooled Jones and then he decided to hang em up. Lewis was being outboxed and given all he could handle before the CUT stoppage. Lewis own trainer, Manny Steward even said he should give Vitali a rematch. Lewis talked with his mommy and they both agreed to punch his ticket and retire. Lewis didn't want to face that nightmare again :yep
atsch Oh i see. He should have said Wlad would KO him then and that Wlad is better then Vitali (despite MOST agreeing that Vitali is the better of the two).
You are aware he's often ASKED his opinion? God forbid he gives an opinion that most actually agree with.
