Well said, Lewis was more off his peak than Vitali though IMO

Lewis was considered to be at his peak when the Klitschko fight happened. He supposidly set personal lifting and running records dring that training camp. The extra weight looked like he added muscle and lost some fat. The guy was huge for that fight and Vitaly still beat his ass all over the ring, while walking through some of the hardest punches Lewis ever landed.

    Lennox has a big ego.

Wlad vs. Lewis is a 50:50 fight.

Why did Lewis never play either Klitschko in chess?

That would have been hilarious watching Lewis furrowing is brow in a futile attempt at comprehending what he had gotten himself into. Now that I think about it, Lewis was actually quite bright. He would never put himself in a position where is pseudo intellectual fasod would have been revealed.

They did have a chess match. Vitali bled all over the chess board which stopped the match. His brain was bleeding from thinking to hard:lol:

Wlad didn't even rematch sanders. Wlad had a punchers chance at best against lennox, and that punch doesn't ko lennox. One shot from lennox puts wlad to sleep.

Yeah definately. Lewis was definately on the decline physically. But not by much, couple of years, which isn't too bad on a guy that takes his job seriously. I reckon it would be interesting to know about his training during this time. He got back in the ring 12 months after wiping the floor with the biggest name in the past four decades. Did the guy feel he had hit the pinnacle of his career with Tyson? Was he treating his first fight back since Tyson with the respect it derserves?
Kirk Johnson certainly wasn't even close to the toughest fight he could of chosen. The guy had never been as inactive in his entire career. The longest period between fights was about 9 months i think back in 96-97 after Mercer fight. So I do believe that the Johnson fight was an easy defense after a long layoff which has to count for something too.

In other words... Lennox is much more threatened by Wlad. Legacy wise and if they fought. Of course Lewis would say this. Yet, at the post fight conference after his fight with Vitali, Lewis said that Wlad was better. Wlad has been so much more dominant than Lewis as Champion... it's not even close.

I was wondering 'where the hell is Widdow' when...

Seriously, though, I would love it if it was possible to have prime Lewis vs. prime Wlad, just so I can see your comments after your boxing world falls apart. :good
