So, when the big guy gets older, and loses some of the attributes youth bring - speed, reflexes, etc - they can compensate, and use their other advantages a little bit more.

But when you have a guy like Tyson once those things are gone, he's got nothing else to fall back on.

Even with a perfect lifestyle you'd have to think 31 or 32 would be the end of the road for a Tyson, if not a couple of years earlier.

It's funny how personally all the Klitites take Lewis' opinion. An opinion that rings true for most.
Really i don't think Lennox has ever thought much of Wlad has an opponent for himself. He sees a man who has folded like a deck chair on 3 occasions and although Wlad is much improved now, Lewis has a fighter, will always picture those shockers in his head, and with his 84" reach ( 3" more than Wlads), he would not have a problem penetrating Wlad's defence and putting the fear of god into him.
Honestly i don't see Lennox knocking him cold, because Wlad is too frightened to commit for that to happen, or indeed from fear of it happening. Instead we would see Wlad seeking the comfort of the canvas from half landed, glancing blows with the ref stopping it before the fourth.
I could even imagine an Akinwande scenario.
Also looking at the damage to Wlad's face after hardly taking any punishment against Haye, it would be worrying how much damage a man his size and with a bigger reach could cause.
Lewis is the better man and deep down we ALL know that don't we.

I do not recall ever attempting to be subtle.

For the record I find most white people to be **** as well, just like everyone else.

I think it has more to do with how much punishment you absorb, including how many gym/sparring wars one is put through.
Yes, bigger guys seem to mature later but in most of those cases they did not sustain much punishment through their boxing styles. Riddick Bowe is an exception. A big guy who faded young because he took a lot of punches by being an inside fighter.

Of course individual physiology is the biggest factor but far less empirical evidence can be presented on that topic to make a case on any sort of individual or collective basis.

I think Wlad would out box Lennox if not KO him early with nice right to his chin.

You have a funny way of showing it. I guess there are priorities.

I like Lewis, and generally think he is a nice bloke.

I don't agree with a lot of what he says about the Klits, but I guess it is to be expected. He had the mindset of a real champion, and champions generally think of others as being somewhat lesser.

However, he has one factual yet inconclusive win over Vitali, and his own share of embarrassing losses - just like Wladimir.

Prime Vitali versus prime Lennox. Prime Wlad versus prime Lennox. Prime Vitali versus prime Wlad.

I wouldn't bet money on any of those fights.

Lennox thinks he would have been able to beat Wlad. So what? Wlad probably thinks he could have beaten Lennox. That's just the way that champions think.

I wonder if Wlad actually thinks that. I'd suspect he does, but I'd guess Lewis is the more confident of the two as a fighter. But who knows.

Actually Lennox would be outjabbed and outgunned at long range and would have to close gaps and it would be hard to do with his poor footwork and balance. He was loosing long range battle to every opponent that was good at it(Bowe, Vitaly). Wlad is much faster on food than anyone he faced so I wouldn't call it walk in a park actually.
P.S. I would still favor him but I can see Wlad winning for sure.
