Would Lewis have given Vitali a rematch if he lost the first one?

with a longer preperation, vitali would fight like he alleways fights. make his opponent off balance and counterpunching all night. it would be a different fight!

It clearly eats away at Lewis to this day that Vitali chased him into retirement.

Lewis acted like an old lion who couldn't find the courage to stand his ground and fight the up and coming young lion for his territory. Lewis turned and ran away... giving way for the young lion to walk right into his territory and take it over.

Clearly this still bothers Lewis... as I have never seen an old ex champ who talks himself up as much as Lennox Lewis still does. He is still making pleas to the people as to why he left the sport, and making assurances of what he "would have done" in a rematch, or what he "would do" to the current true Champ Wladimir Klitschko. It's becoming sad and pathetic.

 

And with proper training Vitali either quits again or Lewis permanently blinds him.

The crying man full of drugs still had a face full of intact skin - I recall Vitali had 3 different cuts from 3 different punches off Lewis - If Lewis hit Vitali with what he hit McCall with Vitali would have had maybe 10 - 20 massive cuts.
