Ha ha, what a laughable post. Any clown who thinks Kalambay "barely won" and needed a hometown decision to outclass McCallum needs to suffer a massive beating (and yeah, Hagler really avoided a light-middleweight, it must have been the wrecking of Sean Mannion that made him **** his pants).:lol::lol:

This is rescued, of course, by Mike himself speaking the truth, no doubt embarrassed about what internet fanboys might say.

Yeah, that one wasn't close at all. A bit of weird that the judges had it close in Kalambay's own yard.

The article sucks on his nuts a bit, but that's to be expected I suppose.

Ps. McCallum himself has said that he confronted Hagler at an awards ceremony for ducking him. That's a bit over the top. I suppose he feels that if Duran, Hearns, Mugabi and Leonard got shots at Hagler, why not him? But the MW champion can hardly duck someone who's not a MW. (Even though the WW champion obviously can duck the MW champion, by retiring :lol::lol: - I just can't help myself, that one just keeps cracking me up).

This just goes to show how many dickhead fanboys there are, as they want to believe there's some reality in the judges scorecards (no matter how pathetic) when it leans towards a fighter they like, even though the fight almost certainly tells them otherwise. I'm seriously embarrassed for this kind of person and I've honestly never met anyone this pathetic. Kalmabay won so comprehensively, it's a farce suggest otherwise. Saying this was a controversial 'split' decision is the same as alluding to Leon Spinks' 'split' over Ali was somehow a bad call.

Well, if this is true, I've really gone off Mike for suggesting this. This is the equivalent of Eckhard Dagge approaching Monzon and claiming he was shitting out of a contest with him (when we all know, Germans can't fight their way out of a ballbag).

This is a bit like the "Leonard ducked Pryor" garbage some clowns are obsessed with. :!:

He says it in interview that's on Youtube. Seemed proud of it too. Made me a bit sad for him.

He was shafted by Duran and Hearns, though. If they saw big money in it, I'm sure Hagler and Leonard would have been open to fight him. But those two can't be accused of ducking him. It says something about his bitternes that he believe he was ducked by Hagler.

Yeah, its' fascinating with Leonard. No other fighter produces such inane arguments in tries to discredit him. He has of course been accused of ducking McCallum too. Funny enough, nothing is said about the two that did duck Mike: Duran and Hearns.

I do a brilliant Mike McCallum impression by the way, even better than my Chris Eubank, but not a patch on my Duke McKenzie (which is so ****ing on the money you'd think it was him).*

Although Bryan Ferry and Kirk Douglas are my all-time best.* :yep

Virginia Plain's my main one, it is so blob on (not my words) I swear you'd think it was him. To do McCallum, you have to jut out your chin slightly and put your tongue on the bottom of your mouth, but touching the back of your teeth, start by saying "I boxed him, I boxed him" and you'll be on your way.

The only one who legitimately ducked Mike was Duran, really. But Duran could get sparked in 60 seconds by Bruce The Mouse Strauss and some clowns would give him a bye because he was suffering from an ingrowing toenail.

Ducked Mike to fight Thomas Hearns...

McCallum got "screwed" by Manny Steward, none other. Steward was thinking what was best for the business overall, not for McCallum, by making the Duran-Hearns fight while McCallum got a Sean Mannion for a vacant belt in a fight no one cared about (as you've already indicated). Conflicts can happen when a manager is looking out for the best interests of two fighters in the same weight division, a choice has to be made between the two.

It's easy to see why the Duran-Hearns fight happened instead of Duran-McCallum or Hearns-McCallum (according to Mike he was mandatory to both - and at the very least he was Duran's mandatory). But after beating Duran, Hearns should have put it right by giving his stable mate a shot, I think. Instead he defended against a soft touch and then moved up. Apparently (again according to Mike), Steward showed Mike a picture of Hearns and said that was all McCallum was going to get of him.

I can understand that McCallum feels hard done by in this instance. Something McCrory had to pay the prize for. But having a go at Hagler is really, really stretching it thin.
