I think they are roughly about the same. Haye has more speed, Rahman the natural HW. Haye knocked out Ruiz, which Rahman couldn't do.
I know this is a little off-topic, but damn this one very weird article: Is Vitali Klitschko the Worst Heavyweight Champion of All-Time? Wow. Is this Lee Hayes guy still around? What do you think? Is Vitali the worst ever? atsch
Haye's power probably isn't too far off Rahman's, plus its delivered faster. Doesn't matter though because that KO of Lewis was such a sweet punch that even the most feather fisted heavy walking the earth would have put him down.
That is without a doubt the worst article I've ever read on ESB. The guy doesn't even finish his points properly.
Through accumulation, not power. Haye's single punch power isn't in the same universe as prime Rahman's.
It's funny that people say this... as if Lennox was just such a knockout artist levels about Klitschko and taking out all opponents. Yet, Lewis' knockout ratio doesn't back that statement up. Plenty of lesser fighters were able to go the distance with Lennox Lewis... yet Lewis always knocks guys like Wlad, Haye ect... out early in all of your opinions... it's hilarious.
Let me ask you this: have you ever studied formal logic at university? I have. I think it is safe to assume you haven't. Otherwise you wouldn't have posted. Did you know there is actually a specific term for your failed attempt to apply logic? It is called a 'fallacious appeal to authority'. http://www.nizkor.org/features/fallacies/appeal-to-authority.html That's right - not only was your post a failure, but it was a well documented (and predictable) type of failure. Can I recommend you go back to school and try harder this time?
As if??? Lmao. Stop, just stop it. Lennox is greater than both fighters period. He stopped Vitali on cuts, and would ko wlad by farting on his chin.
He's right though. Lennox Lewis was a great champion, but his knockout rate was (far) lower than both of the k-bros. Part of the reason might be that he fought more world-class fighters, but there is no reason to think that a fight between him and Wladimir would not be very tactical indeed. Both guys would be worried about the power of the other guy and both guys are/were careful fighters.
Knockout ratio??? That does not have anything to do with anything. That is a stat. Lennox has ko power. Having a higher ko ratio didn't help Vitali against lennox, and it sure as hell won't help the lesser, technically skilled wlad against lennox. Lennox would start out giving wlad a boxing lesson on the jab alone. Once lennox started to come forward, wlad would panic and try to bomb his way out and get brutally kod.
