I agree with everything you have wrote except the very last part(also it isnt guaranteed to be boring). I just want to see MMA fighters test their skill in boxing. It's that simple. I dont care if people try to use it to discredit MMA. MMA fighters in my opinion should be trying to test their skills in the pure arts for what they train - it just makes sense to me.

Prime Vitali KO's any non boxer in a couple of rounds, old Vitali possibly does the same but against a trained fighter with a chin probably just slowly batters them over an extended period of time until their hospital fees amount to more than their payment for the fight

    Old Vitali a G

Vitali shatters Overeem's glass brutally. Overeem has trash hands except for a decent left hook on the inside, terrible head movement, an inept jab, and a Grade AAA China Chin. In boxing, it's no contest and in K-1 I'd probably still go with Vitali because he's kickboxed before and would likely be able to deal with Overeem's low kicks and brief moments in the clinch.

Pretty much agree with all you state although I would argue Ali versus Inoki was our first top boxer in a sort of MMA fight ( which sucked but that is another topic).

That said I see Overeem getting sparked but could it be worse than watching Briggs or Solis?

People also overlook the amount of Muay Thai fighters that are filling in on boxing cards and doing fine. As the depth of boxing skills increases in MMA and Muay Thai gyms the more cross over is likely.

    :thumbsup

Although I would simply ignore the haters and maybe point out the non events previously that left them unsatisfied. I don't think anyone can get enthused about past matches like Solis, Briggs, Johnson or possibles like Chisora or laughably Fury as has been mentioned (not the Klit's fault BTW).

I always point out to the haters the amount of kickboxers that have been successful at other weights - don't just talk heavyweight. Shuts them right the **** up. :deal

Could be interesting but Overeem should fight someone of the top 15 first to see if that fight makes sense
