Alistair Overeem vs Vitali Klitschko?

I see where you're coming from, but for me it would make much more sense for someone like Overeem to have a few fights against lower-level pro boxing opposition, see if he could make his way up the ladder at least a little way off his own back rather than waltzing into a shot at the division's best on account of being a big name in MMA and/or K1, ie: remove the 'freakshow' Couture vs Toney aspect of it, and see if he can at least function in a different sport to a reasonable level before making a high-profile fight with a top, top boxer.

If Overeem proved he had the fundamentals and the stamina to win some boxing matches, then give him the shot. If he failed at these hurdles (as I suspect he would), then at least his fans would've seen him have a shot at pro boxing without getting utterly humiliated and decimated by a top boxer.

Nick Diaz vs Jeff Lacy was a better idea. I still think he would've lost comprehensively, but Nick seems to have the cardio of an athlete, and Lacy has nowhere near the technical or physical abilities of a Klitschko.

Why doesn't he try to make a Wlad fight? That at least will give him a punchers chance...

But all in all I think its a bad idea for him.
He will probably be KO'd early and it would cost him a lot of prestige.

Vitali has a better kickboxing record than overeem. Imagine the hurt he would put on him in boxing

Yes I agree, Jumping into Boxing isn't like jumping into kickboxing. Overeem was originally a kickboxer and his first pro fight was kickboxing, he also trains at one of the best kickboxing gyms in the world so that was a more natural transition.

Also, He would need to get a good boxing training camp and maybe have a few fights to get his feet wet because the style he currently uses just wouldn't work in Boxing.
