Do you think flinging jabs should be worth more than body punches when it comes to scoring? You talk about what Matthysse didn't do, but what did Judah do? He landed around 60 power punches in the entire fight.

that one still stands in my mind as one of the worst I had ever seen. No boxer wants a loss, especially if they deserved to win, but this **** was for the Ring Title.

What paydays would have awaited Santa Cruz?

Around the same time frame, there was another, a prospect being hyped by TV named Kid Diamond over I believe it was Miguel Huerta.

Nah....and although I thought Hopkins should have won,........... Due to the KD's and some pretty close rounds, you could see how Pascal could get enough points on his home turf to nab a draw. IMO it seems worse than it is because Hopkins clearly won such a large portion of the fight, and if not for the KD's would have won comfortably and without controversy.

Martinez v Cintron (probably the worst judging in the history the sport)
    Sturm v Macklin
    Williams v Lara
    Funeka v Guzman I
These are four of the worst decisions of the last few years

Hard to argue with this when a guy KO's his opponent only to get a draw.......:admin

Still havent seen Sturm Macklin, and I've only read about it a little bit on here.....was it that bad? In a league with Williams-Lara, Funeka-Guzman?

How did Hector Camacho Sr. win fights? By running circles, flicking a jab, controlling the action and landing several right hands per round.

Judah post-Tszyu=Camacho post-Rosario. You could say Judah adopted Camacho's style. :yep

That doesn't address the question at all. Is a flinging jab worth more than a solid body shot on your scorecard?

Except Mathysse's body shots were mostly landing on Judah's arms and elbows. Mathysse started to get through with his body shots late in the fight. Mathysse couldn't hit Judah in the head to save his life while Judah landed several left hands per round to the head of Mathysse.

If you want to call every close fight a robbery be my guest...

For example in the Cotto-Clottey rbr thread many were crying robbery which I though was pretty silly. Is every SD now a robbery?

    Alexander vs Matthysse
    Alexander vs Kotelnyk
    Williams vs Lara
    Aydin vs Jo Jo Dan

and i'd even enter De La Hoya vs Sturm.

Except for the fight in Turkey between Aydin and Dan, these fights were showing 4 outsiders coming in the US to fight and got robbed....Please, I don't want to hear any americans saying: "We cannot be judge fairly outside of the US". A robbery CAN happen everywhere. And please, don't talk to me about the Calzaghe-Hopkins fight where a UK guy beat an american on his own soil. What I want to say: Good and bad judgment is everywhere, not only in Germany, Canada, Turkey or whatever...but in USA too. Respect to the fighters that got robbed and still held their heads up high working harder and harder to have a chance to get back on top!
