That's not what he said, he said he won't have much of one

I think a lot of people may view him that way, as someone has said it's just bad luck, but people will look back on his reign and say who did he beat? What top fighter did he get into a war with and really show his fortitude?

Not sure you could ask those questions of other atg's.

    David Haye wasn't talented?

Speed, power, good amateur, Undisputed/Unified CW Champ, WBA Champ.

There is a reason the fight was so hyped.

Soon as I saw the title of this thread I knew butt sore Wlad fans would come swooping in here saying how George must be jealous and bitter.

Yet Foreman all too often says Lewis is greater than him, why be jealous and bitter over Wlad but not Lewis? They are according to some both competition to his legacy yet he praises one and denigrates the other, simply doesn't make sense. :huh

But that aside Wlad clearly does have a legacy, he has been very dominant, he will never be a top 10 ATG but he is already in any unbiased fans top 20. History may not be kind to him as fans in the future will see a timid and rather bland champion compared to Ali, Tyson, Lewis, Holyfield, Frazier etc.

He was talented for this era, but in others he was nothing exceptional. There were easily 10 better heavyweights than Haye during Lewis' era.

    Far from butt hurt.

There could be reasons that George feels the way he does. Who knows he could probably be butt hurt when Vitali told him to get the hell out of the room before Wlad was making his ring entrance against Haye.

The old timers demand respect because they have earned their respect. Wlad is still earning his and as with many unpopular champions like Holmes and Lewis will be more highly regarded after he retires.

I suspect Wlad's legacy will be more respected as time passes. Based upon the young talent coming up at the moment, Wlad will long be remembered as a great champion because there isn't anything coming along anytime soon that even compares.

My god you make Foreman sound like a whiny little *****. He could be this, he could be that, blah, blah, blah.

Simply put Foreman has an opinion, I don't agree with it, you don't agree with it but just because his opinion differs it doesn't mean he has some ulterior motive or some agenda to push.

Look at George Foreman's fighting resume. Maybe then will you Klit huggers realize what a real legacy is all about.

If people say Wlad is a coward, people should say the same thing about Mayweather. Look at Mayweather's fight with Marquez. Mayweather had every concievable advantage, including outweighing him by 15 lbs, yet took no risks and fought "scared."

Man, that's boxing. Do I like it as a spectator when fighters do this. No, of course not, but this means that their level of competition has to step up...or in Mayweather case, he needs to actually FIGHT better competition.

Wlad shouldn't be getting into wars with his current crop of opponents. His style is perfect for his abilities and he's been absolutely dominant, hardly losing a round for years now. His dominance is a testament to his top 15 ATG status at HW, potentially top 10 when he retires.

You don't need to be a boxing historian to know how terrible this era is.
