where now for murray?

I don't see how Murray can improve though? comes in straight lines. Doesn't have great power. Slow of hand and feet i just don't see it mate but get what you mean. Just feel tonight and the manner of the loss will be heavy to shake off.

Mitchell did well and i felt he'd lose the fight but he did box to a fine plan although shipped more then he should of IMO but he's got himself back in contention but he be out of contention within 3 rounds against Rios sadly.

 

Kevin Mitchell can fight far better than he fought tonight, his fitness and sharpness can still improve.

He won because of his toughness, and better natural hand speed, and punch variety.

But overall, Kevin Mitchell could of won that fight even easier.

But considering his recent problems, and taking that into account.

lets be honest Murray is a Euro level fighter, if he had won tonight and faced Rios he would have been ****ed up quicker than what Mitchell did to him.

i think mitchell can make it a bit interesting agaianst Rios. He'll get stopped brutally but if he can adopt Acosta;s gameplan Kevin could enjoy a bit of early success before getting cut down

 

Yep a few times early on Mitchell was jolted a little but Murray's shots and he allowed him to get close which shocked me i thought for first 3-4 rounds he'd box well and then falter but he was getting embroiled in a trench battle at times early. Do that against Rios and i can see similar yet more quicker and devastating finish like the one against Katsidis.

A smart move would be to not go for a title shot against Rios, whos one of the best fighters around at lightweight. Mitchell should either target Vazquez or fight for the vacant wbc title. He earns Murrays no 2 ranking by the wbc now right?

Totally agree i really hope Frank and Kev don't think Brandon is one dimensional and easy to pick off because that's not the case. Vasquez is a decent fight i'd favor the WBC route myself.

Where now for Murray? Well he'll be hoping Mitchell wins a world title seen as Kevin's promised him a crack at the title if he wins it seen as Murray didn't have to give him a shot at him in the first place !

 

Mitchell-Demarco is an interesting fight, Mitchell would find it a hard fight. He will have outbox the bigger Demarco who has decent skills. Id still give him a good chance though, demarco didnt look too good in his last fight.

 

John has been mishandled from the start for my money.

He don't hit hard enough to carry that style.
