Cook v Burns has loads of action on the betting markets. Round betting even gets suspended on some bookies sites. Burns by stoppage becomes a favourite result even though he cant crack eggs with his fists. Round 3 gets pounded to **** so bookies across the board slash odds on a 3 round stoppage for Burns.

Come the fight Cook pulls up with his back immediately after the first exchange. On replay he seemed to turn his back into a body shot.

What the ****, surly this has got to be a bbbc investigation. Cook was obviously a bad opponent but the betting action today tells its own story. Why all this action on a 3rd rd stoppage?

Questions have got to be asked here, wtf if Cook was that ****ed up how did he train for the fight?

    shut the **** up.

Burns landed a right hand to the body and a club right hand to the head and instantly Cook was pain.

So he's either twisted badly and ****ed a disc as has been reported or Burns helped to move the disc along with body movement

This must be the only time in history when a losing betting coup is called as proof a fight was fixed.

As I've said in another thread..

Cook shouldn't be getting grief for this. At the end of the day, it was a freak incident. I feel sorry for the both of them.. for this to happen to Cook and also for all the training, time etc which Burns put in.

Yes Cook has history of back problems, it must have been fine in the build up to the fight and he did pass the pre fight medical. As it turns out, he has a prolapsed disc in his back. I hope he makes a full recovery. Also to attempt to carry on fighting through the round with that sort of injury shows you the type of fighter he is.

cant beleive what folk are insinuating? Do people think Burns trained and sacraficed to fix a fight? do you really think that little of him ? What would he have gained form fixing the fight? he would have won the fight most folk knew thaqt going into the fight

for the record i think cooke beleived he would have been fine, and passed all the relevent medical test ahead of the figth so there was no reason (up till that point ) to doubt his ability to fight .

People aren't pointing fingers at Burns, they're pointing fingers at Cook and what they think he did/planned to do

People shouldn't be pointing fingers at Cook. He was passed fit, fought 2 months before and got through with no problems... it was a freak injury. Anyone who thinks otherwise and that there was some sort of 'conspiracy' in place is deluded.

    Well lets see ...

Burns to win by KO , TKO or DQ went down from the opening 7/4 odds all the way down to around 1/2 on betfair a minute before the start time . How could people be so confident about this one ?

If the fight indeed finished in the 3rd round there is like no way some bookies would have paid out the winnings .

Even a blind person could see something wasn't kosher about the fight.

Knew the back was ****ed in training so opted to go in the 3rd, then betting suspended etc too obvious, so went early in the first, still in pain as real back trouble, jobs a goodun.

Probably well well wide of the mark above, but just a thought.
