Exactly . They don't need Burns to be in ''this'' .

It's just like fixed tennis matches , not always both of people playing are involved , one just loses on purpose .

I think some people in this thread calling out those who call this fight suspect are not aware of the betting patterns in this one .
There are plenty of posts in the last 24 hours calling dodgy betting odds moves in this one and then you have the guy who all the money came in against lose in the first round due to a ''freak injury accident'' .

This what happens when you put in garbage opponents. How the **** Cook got a title shot in the first place is beyond me.

Time for Burns to fight someone with a pulse.

Read between the lines you ********.

The way the odds swayed told half the story. Cook was injured before the fight even took place.

Take off those rose tinted spectacles pal and snap into reality.

No one is implying Burns was involved in anything, he wouldn't need to be involved, and has no reason to be involved.

To not consider the betting action before the fight, and what that could mean, is naive. So I wont shut the **** up if thats ok with you tough guy.

:patschYou are very naive young man.

The betting patterns tell us all we need to know. Cook was already done before the fight but was opted to go out earlier. Yes his back is ****ed but he was already done before the fight jackass.

The odds on the stoppage in general nosedived, Burns is hardly a KO artist. Also with the odds on the 3rd dropping from 20/1 to 3/1 and being suspended at most bookies, it would have been a little too obvious.

As a person who has been betting on sports for around 10 years I can tell you I've seen similar things plenty of times in tennis . Usually one guy has some sort of an injury and some people around him know about it . BIG money being placed against him , he goes into the match and at some point gets broken , starts showing signs of an injury when he is losing something like 5-3 or 5-2 and once the set is finished you get a doctor called and give up or retire straight away . It's money in the bank .

There is no chance Burns was involved in this . My assumption would be Cook either had a bad training camp or some sort of an injury , something bothering him but that could still get him cleared for the fight . He was already a HUGE underdog , now he could possibly be also bothered by some health problems . Why wouldn't you want to make some quick extra cash if you weren't going to win anyway .

The bottom line is nobody would have placed that much money on a guy who had 8 finished out of 31 fights . He was backed as low as 1/2 to finish Cook , thats unexplainable and there is no logic behind it at all .
Burns has nothing to do with this at all , Nicky Cook and somebody around him most likely involved sadly .

If he has got a prolapsed/slipped disc then there is no argument.
