John Murray - So Predictable

Hey don't forget me dude although to be precise I did say Mitchell would cruise to a UD and that Murray was very limited in the way he fights...but full credit to Mitchell who did the unthinkable and stopped Murray,not many saw that one coming,and I guess Murray is not so strong now since he got stopped by someone who was a super feather although Mitchell is a bit of a banger for superfeatherweight...oh well I was close enough I guess!!

Agreed by the way, personally, I think his ability to pick his shots is his most redeeming feature. He won't be able to put it into practice as much when he's getting swarmed by higher class fighters, but it's clear that he's got it in his repotoire.

Not sure, I would imagine he is, in which case that fight is a likely scenario, with the winner defending against Murray if he makes a successful comeback perhaps?

Think Mitchells pretty adament that he wants a rematch with Katsidis - A fully fit and focused Mitchell and it coukd be a different fight to last time ?

 

IMO Mitchell needs a couple of more decent fights and then i too believe he could beat Katsidis, i'd like to see him fight the winner of Rees v Matthews. then another fight with a fringe world fighter then Katsidis or a world title shot.

Murray has always reminded me of those boxing games you play, where you hit 'career mode' & just button mash & steamroller your way through about 20 computer opponents without worrying about having to play the game correctly, & then you suddenly get hammered out of nowhere!

 

Great fight thought murray was gonna take it with the ref happy for them to fight on the the inside without breaking ! but mitchell done well !! not on youtube yet - anyone know where you can watch it online ???

I picked Mitchel by late stoppage on the pre-fight threads.

I was only confident enough to put £4 on my pick though. If only I had more faith.

I think i was more concerned with what version of Mitchel was going to show up.

Murray relied on the same old tactics of pressing forward abd trying to walk through punches to get your own in,it dont matter that he has a good chin,its flesh blood and bone,and if you take enough hard shots on it,it will give,the same exact shots were hitting him right on the button all night,good performance by Mitchell,i was impressed.

 

Quality.

Mitchell was very impressive last night. He suprised me. I thought he was damaged goods after the Katsidis fight and that he'd crumble under the pressure from Murray. But he had an answer to everything and looked a level above. His punch selection was superb.

 

Let Rios batter Katsidis up some more and then fight him.

 

i got it badly wrong cant believe murray looked god damn awful.
