I don't think Cook was acting. He genuinely looked and moved like somebody in severe discomfort.

I've seen a slipped disc before. It came from something as simple as standing up off a chair and turning round quickly as somebody called. The pain was sudden and severe to the point they couldn't move. I've sympathy for Cook there as I know the next few days are going to be extremely uncomfortable.

    Who knows though.

Weren't the same kind of threads made in the Haye-Audley aftermath?

Quickly faded away, allow it to happen with these one's lads.

Burns shattered his glass back and his glass chin inside 6 seconds.

So let me get this straight

A feather fisted fighter gets backed in with no reason as to why

A fight ends in suspicious circumstances

And yet people can say with conviction that it wasn't bent

    get a ****ing grip

It does not make you think the word was out that Cook was going down in 3?The line only moves when big money gets put down.

Where would that rumour come from? It wasn t just round 3. Burns by stoppage became the favourite result, when he s stopped 9 out of 34.

Still got the W, shows up as a nice wee KO1 on boxrec, & I could sit back & enjoy Murray losing his 0 all in the same night, life could be a lot worse:smoke

Although it could be a lot better too, Frank needs to get Ricky his big fights sooner rather than later. Who would have thought that Nicky Cook would be Ricky Burns very own Kebede, Frank has to deliver fast now, & im sure the unfair stick hes getting could be a blessing in disguise for Burns, cos a wounded ****** is a dangerous animal indeed, & no doubt he looked like an cornered tiger when he was questioned ringside...

If you're going to throw a fight you'll usually do it a bit less conspicuously than after six seconds.

The fix was not in but certain people knew about this injury and Cook should not of been able to go ahead with the fight. That much is obvious.

Feel sorry for Burns more than anything.

Exactly, you'd just go down when you get hit on the chin and try and get up then just fall and the ref will wave it off.

This whole back thing looks to fixed for it to be fixed, surely?

6 seconds was less conspicuous than 3 rounds.

Something was wrong with this fight.

Ladbrokes had first round 5/1, second round 14/1 and third 3/1. There is no evidence Billy or Ricky have any involvement with this and i personally don't think they do. The betting patterns are dodgy as **** though.

Cook knew he was injured before he even got into the ring and so did plenty of others. Its the only explanation.

Losing in the 3rd round would have been much worse than losing in round 1 . Word has been out for the last 24 hours and if the fight ended in round 3 I assume the big dogs who backed the round 3 would have major explaining to do before getting their winnings if at all . As well as Nicky Cook .
