Nobody is blaming burns or billy HMS so you and spunky mcsmackaty can pipe down. If you can not see something is wrong here then you're dumb as ****.

They've suspended those big round betting odds but Burns via T(KO) or DQ was available at beter than even odds almost everywhere .

In a perfect world my good man... I wanted to see him get his too, but Ricky IMO hit him hard & early, & Cook couldnt take the heat. I have always slagged off fighters who go to Spain to make weight, its a cop-out. dehydrating yourself means you can cut back a bit... even my hero Scotty did it when the wheels were falling off the bandwagon, & Cook decided to base himself there permanently:-(

In my own head, Burns destroyed Cook. However, its boxing & Cook doing what he did tarnished the victory, no amount of arguing from me will change that, so I have accepted already this fight is going to go down as a nothing win, so Im concentrating on the future already. As you summed up well HH, its like this fight never happened.

So it seems word got out that Cookie was injured, and maybe the rumour was that he wasn't going to last more than 3 rounds. Sounds like people were attempting to take advantage of Nicky Cook's unfortunate situation, rather than a blatant fix.

I'm not so sure people should be pointing the finger at Cookie, he looks to have a nasty back injury and this is probablty the end of his boxing career.

I'm also not so sure that people should be feeling sorry for Ricky Burns. He's been happy to take easy defences, and that's exactly what he got...

Depends what you mean by "Cleared up their division". What's the criteria?

I think there was clearly something very ****ing dodgy with that fight. It's far too much of a coincidence that we end up with that happening after the betting trends that happened today. To me it seems as if Cook knew his back was absolutely ****ed well beforehand and had told people that he would be going down in that round and for them to put their money on it, however after the news of a betting fixed becoming well known today he has decided to get out of there asap. Maybe I'm looking too much into it, but it definitely seems to me that this was a rigged fight.

:huh What you've just said makes abolutely no relevance to what I posted.

Dunky, I know you are a patriotic Scot, and believe me, i want to see Burns do very well and i do not blame him at all for tonights shambles. But Cook knew his back was ****ed, and he turned this fight into a farce. I am positive that he's known his back is knackered, and thinking he can make a quick buck out of the situation has told people that he'll go down in the third and had a perfectly good excuse due to the back problem. However, he has either **** out of it because of betting being suspended today, or else his back was actually that ****ed that he couldn't take even one shot to to the body without going down. Either way it's still a disgrace. I repeat though - it's NOT Ricky Burns' fault.

I was told burns by KO in rounds 1-3. That was at about 5.30pm saturday evening. You could still get Burns at about 5-2 odds.
