Tony boxed well. He could of done more which was annoying but he did what he had to do and tbh after his last two displays this is maybe what he needed in the long run.
Clev will destroy Bellew, that's 3 fights against average fighters where he has looked poor. He is not as good as he thinks he is. Simple
True. Amateur trainers telling him how good he is when he s winning a decision but not beating the man. McKenzie s lost 11 fights, so what if Bellew can outbox him?
Bellew is deluded. He ll never make world class. He s too fragile at lhw. Clev aint that good but he ll hammer him.
Boxed masterfully my arse. He come with a game plan to stay away from a journey man. Cleverly is gonna ruin him.
It might not be to everyone's taste but Bellew impressed me tonight, in too much of his fights he has looked to ko everyone and forgot about the boxing skills he has, he was lucky last time he didn't get beat but although not as exciting i thought he showed the boxing brain he'll need when he steps up in class. Think Cleverly may be a bit much for him but at least if he boxes he won't walk into something and get ko'd. I met the guys in his corner last week in Glasgow when they were doing their Pro licences and they did say that the plan was to box and that we'd see a different side to Tony and fair play we did.
Bellew stunk the joint out IMO, hes fast turning from a 'character' into a deluded egomaniac. Anyone who enjoyed that snoozefest needs their head examined.
It may have been a snoozefest but he showed more to his armoury, if he carried on the way he had been fighting then he would have got badly ko'd. I'd like him to stop with the mouthing off and just continue to improve, the fight itself was nit the best but it is sometimes better to win ugly than be reckless and get ko'd.
well then why give it the big speeches before the fight about how he has the heart of a lion, give it the big act, the big crazy weigh ins, stares & all of that only to run all night & not engage. Dont get me wrong, I like the guy. However, to bore the place to death & say you are providing a 'masterclass'??? If the man didnt post here his RJJ impressions against a glorified journeyman would be getting slaughtered. Im Dunky, Im drunk & just posting my honest opinion. Nice to meet you david.
He boxed in a safe manner, but it wasn't beautiful, just showed he can be fairly disciplined against a fairly dangerous bloke like Ovill. Clev won't take him out in 2-3 rnds though, he also makes many errors and doesn't hot that hard himself.
