I'v been saying it for a while.

Farnell is more a mate than a trainer.

Frankie should get his arse over to america and get the quality sparring and conditioning they have other there. He is on course to become the next Alex Arthur. He says farnell is the best trainer he has, but of course he is going to say that when he is really the gaffer. Farnell wouldn't have the balls to kick Gavin out of the gym for not doing what he asked him because Gavin is his star fighter.

Someone like Freddie Roach would have plenty of time for Gavin, Gavin has clearly got problems with diet and obviously needs help there. The chap will probably stay where he is and convince himsel everything is alright. The way he is going, he is going to continue putting in shabby performances and lose very soon.

I have questioned Farnell from Day 1. Bellew was the gaffer in his own corner and not listening to Farnell at all and talking about how nobody can take his shots, hes the hard man, nobody can do 12 rounds etc... cringeworthy stuff for a fighter to be saying and this is when a trainer needs to say, COP ON MATE STOP TALKING SHITE MANY FIGHTERS CAN TAKE YOUR SHOTS SO GET TO WORK ON THE FUNDAMENTALS OR GET OUT OF MY GYM WITH THAT SHITE TALKING. Of course Arnie would never say that to Bellew or Gavin.

Gavin has no kids as far as I know. He has no excuses. He needs to pack his bags and get over to America and get the highest quality of training. Make a phone call to ****** and ask him to get in touch with some trainers and tell them he is interested.

PERNELL WHITAKER is a trainer now and would love to train Gavin and I know Gavin has said Whitaker is one of his favourite fighters.

At 27, Gavin needs to get a move on.

My prediction, he stays with Farnell, puts in one or two more shabby performances, perhaps losing, then finally sees that something needs to change and then moves to a different trainer. I personally don't think he has the balls to move to America and take himself out of the comfort zone. He is happy being the big fish in the small pond. Whitaker would bounce him out of the gym if he didn't do exactly what he told him.

Anyway, just my 02. cents. I do think Gavin has a lot of talent, and I hope he reads this and thinks about it. I would like to see him succeed. I just don't think he is giving himself his best chance when there is so much better out there than Farnell. That may sound harsh but its true. Bellew finally understood it and so will Frankie. I just hope its not too late when he does.

Gavin is 25 not 27 and has a young child, also i think only Bellew,Gavin and other fighters who work/have worked under Farnell can tell us if Arnie can give a bollicking when needed.Moving to america he might get better training etc but he has a family here so that would make things more difficult to do.

I think everybody knew right from the start that Farnell won't get the best out of Gavin.
