In all fairness though that was because back then it wasn't much more than rumour and speculation. (other than frankie sayinf himself he likes a party a bit too much) we hadn't really seen it affect him too much in the pros but tonight was proof that something drastic needs to change or else it'll be one of the biggest wastes of talent in british history
I only saw the sky highlights. As soon as I heard SD, i thought....Parris. Maybe that makes me just as bad.
this thread makes me laugh..... No way on gods green planet did Woodhouse win that fight! Did he do well YES did he perform a he'll of a lot better than I expected YES but he in no way won that fight. I'm not too disappointed with the result if I'm honest, he won the fight, was given some things to think about and his health remains in tact :good I know he can do better but that's for working on in-between this fight and his next. He did tell me he wouldn't be fighting at 140 again and I had no reason to not believe him. Heard it's been said he's going back to 140 which I hope is true (haven't seen the recording off it yet, just back from the arena) as he needs to grow into 147 properly and if there's a chance he can make it he must do so :good I know he's bringing a nutritionist on board for his next fight so hopefully we'll see a bit of a difference there too. However to all you arseholes calling him a ****/***** I'd say you're going a tad over the top behind your keyboards there. You probably would struggle to find another pro, willing to help people out and chat to people as he is/does. Good win for Ronnie mind and well done to Butler too. Well done to Mitchell, however that fight doesn't change my opinion on him, in fact all it confirms to me is that neither Mitchell or Murray are anywhere near world class :good Was great seeing Bomber sporting his Lonsdale over his shoulder like a proud father. Genuinely looked chuffed to bits ha ha. Top bloke
I think Mitchell has the ability to be fringe world class. JMM would murder him, but he's good enough IMO to get a world title shot not too far down the line. BUT, I agree he needs to shake off the rust a bit, and be dedicated for more than one fight, as it took him quite a few rounds to warm to the task. Murray is strong enough to be again a fringe operator, but somebody needs to teach the kid to move his head. There is no head movement at all, very little feinting, you cant just walk through people at the upper eschelons of the game, and this foot/hand/thought speed isnt good enough to be first to the punch, so means hes always eating leather to land his own. First real puncher hes faced IMO, he gets stopped. I think these 2 could fight 10 times and youd have 10 great fights. Mitchell needs to be active, Murray needs lots of work but still has very good potential.
not good from frankie imho he looked terrible as i said in another post yesterday you cant play at boxing if he cant make 140 which as been stated where does he go? hope he can sort this weight issue out ,nothing worse than wasted talent imho
People saying Gavin is **** are totally overreacting, however I think that this fight pretty much confirms that there are big problems with Frankies dedication that must be addressed if he's going to go further in the sport.
I did yes, because at the time you had absolutely no reason to question his dedication or stamina. You questioned his dedication purely on the basis of his 'funtime' monikor and the fact he never made the weight for the Olympics despite everyone being involved stating it was the ABAE's fault as such. There's other people who have questioned his dedication (especially now the vultures are out) such as Icemax..... You'll notice I haven't resorted to petty names with any of these. There's a reason for that pal, and that reason is that I flat out don't like you :good Obviously you will have enjoyed lasts nights bill, reasons to pick holes in Gavin and Bomber and your man winning (like the way you covered your back PM'ing me about Mitchell being poorly hence the bill being moved when it was actually **** ticket sales IN LONDON that changed the venue and date). Enjoy it, I still think you're a ***** though :good
