Arum Fixed the Fight to Make Marquez Look Like a Legit Opponent.

    Its clearly obvious that Arum paid Ramos to do this, so that during the Pac/Marquez promotion he can sell Marquez as still being a legit threat, coming off a brutal KO win:lol:

    He will sell the fact that Marquez gave Pac two hard close fights in the past, and then he will sell Marquez as still good as ever fresh off a 1st round KO win.

    What casual boxing fans don't understand is that the 2 prior fights took place at 126 and 130, 3 and 7 years ago. Pac is now bigger and stronger at WW, and Marquez is 38 since people like to bring up age a lot. This fight is farce and Arum knows it, but most of Pac's fans are casual, and don't **** about the sport, and they will buy into the hype that Marquez is legit threat and that this is a competitive legacy defining fight.:rasta

    The only "fix" was putting an overmatched opponent in with a world class fighter like Marquez. The result was certain. This is what happens when C-class guys fight a genuinely great fighter.

    And both Pacquiao and Marquez enter the ring at the same weight. They weigh roughly the same on fight night, just like they always did.

    youre smoking to much dude, marquez didnt benefit at all from this.
    He should have gone afew rounds then stopped him at round 5/6.
    At least he didnt pick up an injury or cut so pac vs jmm 3 is still on.

    you have readng comprehension issues. I didnt' say that Marquez benefitted from this. I said that Arum fixed the fight, so that he can promote the fight with pac as being legitimate to the public.

    No I'm saying he's gotten more muscualr and stronger as he moved up. Just because a fighter moves up in weight classes doesn't always mean that he was weight drained when he was at the lower weights.

    SRL wasn't drained a WW just because he later fought at middle.

    Yeah, no-one thought Marquez had a chance but now that he's stopped the legendary Ramos, he'll probably be the favourite!

    Oki fair enough, but don't you think arum can sell pac vs jmm 3 based on the first 2 fights? if he can sell mosley then he can easily sell marquez as well for 1 mil+ I think.

    If Arum did fix this fight, I don't think it would be to sell the Marquez/Pac fight. I think it would be to ensure Marquez didn't get cut or injured or to ensure that Marquez didn't get in enough rounds to shake off the rust.

    Some people will fall for anything. Like another poster said last night, Arum had to avert another Morales Raheem situation.:deal

    The only one stupid on here is you. The casual boxing public doesn't know who these guys are. All they will see is the clip of Marquez "knocking out a guy out cold" and think he must be pretty good.

    He's going to use the 1st 2 fights, as well, i mentioned that, but being able to say he's fresh of a 1st round KO sounds damn good and helps to erase the memory of Mayweather schooling him badly a couple of years ago.
