I couldn't stand Floyd at the time he fought Castillo, but watching the fight without bias, I had Floyd by a couple of rounds. Sucks, but it's true.

I watched this fight 2 x in the last few days. I am now a believer Floyd has the best chin in the biz and knows how to dance away from pure danger better than any fighter I have watched. Slick MTF. if he had some power and threw combinations even just a tad more he could be GOAT.

He never lets you know when he is hurt. He makes a lot of fighters miss opportunities because he has one of the best poker faces in the game.

Was a point taken from Mayweather at the end of the 9th?

Am I susposed to score punches by Castillio that land below the belt, on the back and on the arms?
    I think Compubox did.

Looking for rounds to give to Castillio I had trubble giving any to him. If I was inclined to give him the benifet of the doubt I could have given him 4 rounds + the one round thanks to a point deduction of Mayweather.
Yes Castillio was rough and in spots gave Mayweather problems. However they wern't enough to win rounds. This fight has really been blown out of porportian.
Before you throw the Compubox stats at me let me point out that you can't use them when scoring a fight and I am convinced that they were counting those shots that were low on the back and the arms of Mayweather.

exactly man. There was a later round that I almost scored for Castillo, but after I watched the round, I started it over again and realized almost all the punches Castillo landed were illegal or on Floyd's elbows and Floyd was the one landing all the clean shots in the round

Problem with this is they have to score those shots unless instructed other wise.... Meaning you cant make up the rules as you go along if the ref rules them illegal the ref has a method to address that which is with warnings following a point deductions...

So basicly the way your scoring it is not the correct way to score, your picking and choosing what you want to score... thank god your not an official.

So if Castillo is grabbing Floyd with one hand and hits Floyd with his other hand after the ref says break, then those count?

:huh That's one thing if a ref calls a knockdown yet all the three judges see a low blow.

That's another thing when all 3 judges see a low blow and the ref misses it but the fight goes on. I don't see why judges wouldnt be allowed to not score a round for a fighter where a lot of their shots were actually illegal.

    Again, I have to :huh

A judge is suppose to score on a round 4 grounds. Defense, Effective Aggression, Ring Generalship, and "CLEAN and effective punches"

If the punch isn't clean, why would a judge score it?

If the judge clearly notices holding and hitting, he should not score in favor of that fighter.

Taken from an article on ESB.

    Clean and Effective Punching

“Clean, effective punching” is the single most important thing to look for in scoring a fight. It is punching that reaches any legal area of an opponent’s body with little or no hindrance along the route...."
