Following his 8th round stoppage of fellow Brit John Murray,Kevin Mitchell announced he would like to fight Michael Katsidis next in an effort to avenge the only loss on his resume. This was a good win for him after a 14th month gap since losing to Katsidis.Considering that, though, I had the opportunity to see three of Murray's fight's and couldn't even give him a chance to beat Michael Katdidis, and from what I've seen of Mitchell
thought Murray was no threat to Mitchell either.Thought this result emphasises how much better Katsidis is compared to both of these Brits.
Haven't seen the scores to Mitchell-Murray but all of the reports indicate it was an even contest until the end of the seventh when Mitchell rocked Murray right on the bell and in the eighth floored Murray and when the fight resumed Mitchell attacked again and the ref waved it off.:happy:hi:

Never too many times to see a QLDer give a pom a good towelling up! Katsidis will jump on him from round 1 because Mitchell can't hurt him. Simple as that. Might go a few extra rounds but Katsidis lands the more telling blows and wins via 7th round TKO

If it's a good pay day why not.

I say Mitchell will do a little better this time but not sure he can get the win.

I give the bloke props for wanting to potentially right his wrong so to speak.

Do I think Mitchell can beat Kats, mmm, probably not, but again, props to him for wanting the rematch.

There's good coin in it for Mick if he decides too.

I agree UK fights with Mitchell, Murray & others will pay Katsidis very well & bouts he should win without too much issue IMO.

Kats is a warrior but if he wants to fight here in the UK for big money then fight Khan . Mitcheal had his chance and spewed it up , if Mitch can get a few top notch wins then yes fight what remains of Kats post Khan .

I think Mitchell is banking on Katsidis holding out for Khan, and his call out is just bravado. If Kats does call his bluff, Mitchell's career is over.
