    Awful style matchup for Larry. A guy that would counter him with one of the best right hands ever in heavyweight history

    I agree that Larry was prone to getting hit with the right hand but let's not discount everything else Holmes brings to the table. He was a more complete boxer with a battle tested chin and the heart of a champion. If Shavers couldn't starch Larry with that right hand than what chance does Schmeling have?

    Yeah I would have to go with Holmes too. I just think that Schmelling would have a lot of a lot of success.

    I think Schmelling was always a better fighter then Shavers and had comparable power. If he had Holmes in the same position as Shavers then he would have a good shot to finish him. I think Holmes would generally be too good for Schmelling though. :good

    His best punch is larry's biggest weakness.

    He's better at Norton's game than Norton ever goes.

    Prime Schmeling dominates in a chessmatch.

    Toss up, if Holmes is super aggressive maybe, although eh has to be careful of Shmelings right. If a boxing match, Scchmling.

    I think dominates is a bit reching but it´s a close fight. Holmes is overall the better fighter but the style advantage Max has here should make it at least even, perhaps even swing it into his favour. Interesting fight.

    Never. Schmeling wouldnt get close enough to Holmes. Unless Holmes falls asleep. If you think Max is going sucker or feint Holmes out of position to counter punch his way to victory or even make it close by doing so, I got news for you. Holmes comfortable 15rd. UD.
