Due to the 9th July being pulled he didn't fight. Obviously he will want to get back in contention asap. Campaigning at middleweight there will be a few people on his radar and he will be on others. He will certainly be looking at Murray and want a piece of that (no homo), but in all fairness he should fight an eliminator. I'd think some one like mendy would be suitable. Bjs isn't quite there yet. Talking of bjs, smith will be on his radar also. I think bjs needs to win a few more fights and pick up an English along the way first. Should smith come through a fight with someone like mendy and then fight Murray and win, which route would you go down? Euro fight then see if he can get a couple of defences in and see where things go? I certainly think middle is his best fighting weight, he just wasn't quite big enough for smw in all honesty. Any thought?
I'd have smith to beat mendy, but a closer fight with Murray. I also get the feeling Murray might not have enough power to trouble smigga too much. The bjs fight will happen IMO if smith wins and defends the British once. By that time I expect bjs to have won the English and an eliminator
Smith beats Mendy imo. Would be a good fight though. Smith-Murray is the one everybody wants to see. Martin would have too much for him imo it would be a terrific fight.
I've heard worse ideas. Reid wants a fight, Smith wants a fight it could do good business in Liverpool.
