I say this because I heard something about douglas going through some personal problems or his mom dying or something like that before the fight. Anyways I think it was the proper motivation for him to defy the odds that night in Tokyo. I still think the ref gave him a long count but he still fought the fight of his life.

On to Victor Ortiz, this guy has had a very rough life inside and outside of the ring. We all know the story of how he grew up and we certainly know about his baptism through fire in the ring. Could these things combine to make Ortiz a VERY dangerous and motivated fighter agaisnt Floyd? I know alot of people will say that Floyd will just outclass him with skill and movement, but what if Ortiz is on Floyd all night and won't let up and won't stop punching? Could he have what it takes to break Floyd down?

I know I will get ripped for my theory, but don't sit there and tell me that you have never seen a properly motivated athlete do super human things in their respective sport. Nothing is impossible.

It wouldnt be anywhere near as big an upset.

Tyson at that point was considered WAAAYYY more invincible than inactive ass Floyd is.

But no, I cant see Vic winning. Floyd will take him apart.

Not to mention at 8-1 the odds are way to wide. I have a feeling this will close up to around 4 or 5 to 1.

Screw the odds, you know good and well if Floyd loses it will be on every boxing affiliated website and on at least half of all media outlets. Maybe buster Douglas was a bad example.

could happen, stranger things have hppened. and I think Ortiz will make a good account of himself early in the fight. That will be his chance to score a KO/TKO.

Yep -- I expect PBF to post a boring UD, but I just don't think it's an 8-1 fight.

Floyd has much more discipline than Mike Tyson. Floyd isn't the type of guy to take a fight unless he's 100% dedicated to it.

he has to go to the body very early and counter Floyd's jab with right hooks.
