Hey, if Hearns managed to get a rematch, Hagler could have eventually done the same.

You mean the dancing he was doing after the final bell rang. To me, he looked like he knew he didn't win. He was doing his best to stay optimistic. He sure wasn't doing that in his other fights in the past.

He still should have stuck around. You never know, anything is possible. Hearns is proof of that regardless of the outcome of the match.

Read "4 Kings" after George Kimball's sad recent passing & Hagler's team objected to Harry Gibbs as a ringside judge due to his nationality (English/Minter post-fight riot) despite the fact he had already been a judge for the Hearns fight. Gibbs scored the fight 7-5 Hagler watching on television.

I had it 7-4-1 Leonard but scoring this fight is like preferring blondes or brunettes.

Edit: Hagler EVT12 Leonard for the post fight dancing

I bet you the people who thought Hagler clearly won have never seen the fight and only saw HBO Legendary Nights or haven't seen the fight in a long, long time.

I saw that fight about 2 months ago closely and there is no way in hell Hagler won that fight. Leonard wasn't just pitty patting. He was throwing hard shots, moving and throwing. He was controlling the fight. He wasn't just running. Hagler tried to make a fight but he looked like a turtle and couldn't even cut off the ring properly. And Leonard even backed Hagler up in some exchanges. He not only stole the show but he won the fight.

Nah, Leonard just adapted from his usual style of fighting to fight in a fleet footed manner in the rematch and against Hagler. Just like Hagler adapted from his usual style to turn into a bull against Hearns.

Leonard's best performances usually was boxing more flat footed and putting more on his shots. Hagler was normally at his best boxing and using lateral movement/circling. But they had to change against certain opposition.

I gave it to Hagler too, but it was definitely a close round. Ray landed plenty of effective shots. He did enough where you could possibly give him the round as well. Not a clear round for either man.

Yeah when I agree with this. People like to say he was just flurrying, but when you watch the actual fight, you can see he was throwing hard shots, but backed Hagler back a few times but Hagler has an atg chin

No he doesn't hit harder than Hagler obviously, but to say he hits like a ***** is riduclous. He had more power at WW than Pacquiao did
