I know that he uses upper body movement. The point is that people are saying it'll be easy, which I think is incorrect as Paul doesn't use his feet enough to deal with Prescott with little difficulty. He's always going to be within range for Prescott's bombs, and Prescott can wing to the body, you can't avoid body shots with head movement. He can slip the first shot, the second shot, but he's always going to be right in there, in a vulnerable position.

Well if he can land effectively with counters against Prescott he can make Prescott think twice about continualy whinging punches at him. Who knows if Prescott has brought as much power up to 140 also.

I expect McCloskey to win but I wouldn't take Prescott lightly.

Does the 'regular' title become vacant when Khan becomes 'super champ'...? I'm guessing the winner won't actually end up fighting Khan, they'll probably face the WBA #1 or the interim champ for the 'regular' title...?

Hopefully his game plan starts from round 1 not round 6.

His power isn't really that good anyways. If McCloskey gets discouraged by Prescott's power there's a problem, because it was as overrated as Maidana's has been for the last few years. I'd worry about Paul's tendency to not slip and counter fluidly in one movement. He doesn't punch after evading a shot enough for me, which restricts how effective he can be. Fighters with high work-rates will always give him problems in some capacity, as he only really lets fly when he's in his comfort zone. If he can get under Prescott's swings and come right back up staight away it'll be a lot more comfortable for him than just getting out of the way and then trying to reset time and time again.

If Frampton/Kiko is announced to that will be a brilliant night of Boxing.
I would make the trip up to Belfast for it.

That's true. It's a shame nobody has told him he's allowed to punch back, though.

McCloskey isnt winning a world title, should be a good fight with Prescott though.

Yeah, Mccloskey is most comfortable when he is fighting at his own slow pace, and he does wait too much time without throwing punches. Khan is a better fighter than Paul anyways but it was a stylistic nightmare for him in that fight anyways. But in Prescott he will be facing a fighter who isnt particularly intelligent or skillful imo. I doubt somehow that Prescott will be going in to win a decision against Paul, especially in his backyard. He will be going in for the knockout. And once he realises he cant get the knockout he will run out of ideas, just like he did after he knocked Miguel Vazquez down in the first round and got outboxed for much of the rest of the fight. Granted Paul does not use as much foot movement as Vazquez, but he has in Prescott and opponent who will be coming straight to him and swinging for the fences, and when he does Paul will counter him. Prescott will be too one dimensional to do anything about it. I think myself that Mccloskey will be at his best for this fight after his poor showing against Khan. Cant see Prescott winning more thana couple of rounds.

Well yeah, the fact that Prescott is quite an average/poor fighter will enable McCloskey to win without too much trouble, I just doubt he'll be very comfortable in there. It's like what I said in the build-up to the Khan fight(not that I'm implying Prescott and Khan are on any kind of similar level, but I think it's relevant as in this case Khan's speed/Prescott's work rate are interchangeable), McCloskey can avoid the first shot handily enough, but he doesn't get out of there, he doesn't use his feet, and he hasn't got the ability to puch in between an opponent's combination, so that begs the question of what happens when the second shot, the third shot, and so forth are thrown at him? He's always going to be in range, and he's not a fighter that really tries to smother his adversaries work, so what does he do when those punches come flying in? That's what I wonder, again, I do think he'll win a kind of 8-4/9-3 type decision, but I can envisage him having difficulty to an extent, certainly more than some people seem to be insinuating, simply because of the way he fights matching up with the way in which Prescott does.

This is confusing! On his own Facebook page he said he is not fighting Prescott! Yet every one thinks he is.
