Don't agree with this, Maidana is not any great shakes at all but likewise Guerrero seems overrated to me; this fight wouldn't be the same as the Katsidis one. Whilst his performances against Corley & Morales were shocking for a top 5 light-welterweight at the time, in my mind that sloppiness came about primarily due to mental lapses in his preparation.

The Maidana of the Khan, Cayo and Ortiz fights is at the very least a relentless warrior and if he came in with that attitude vs Guerrero, as he knows he would have to, he would pose big problems for him. Let's face it Guerrero, though he did impress me in the fight, beat a Katsidis on the slide who was not able to dent him in any way. Maidana would get to him at some point I feel, and then it would be a very different challenge for him.

At the moment, I think I would probably favour Maidana in that fight, possibly by late KO.

I would say Matthysee is the biggest puncher at 140 out of the big guns today

Thats the promotional company's doing, eddie hearns. It sells tickets, it makes the matchup more viable to the casual fan. Makes Prescott seem like a quality matchup. Mccloskey himself said that he wasnt thinking about Khan in the article.

It's fair enough to identify Prescott by his one claim to fame. I don't see it as a jab at Khan. I just think it's how people know him and as somebody said, it helps sell tickets. All in all, I really don't like that poster design though.

Regarding Matthysse being a bigger puncher; I would put him at best on par with Maidana

He's a long time fighting at LWW(Pro and amateur). He'd have to kill himself to boil down to 135.

He doesnt look like he has to be at 140. The Khan fight aside he always looks to be carrying a bit of extra weight, I reckon he could drop the five pounds without too much bother:

McCloskey himself says he's a natural LWW. He does however look fat around the lower abdomen when he's fighting (excluding Khan fight as you said).
