Barker/Martinez Confirmed. Does Darren have a chance?

    Ah I see what you mean now. Barker isnt a greaat fight for Martinez being honest though, Theres quite a few fighters out there that could give a better fight to Martinez. Even though I have to give darren credit for taking the fight

    Not really but I think he'll give a good account of himself but I see him getting stopped around the eighth. Credit for taking this fight though. I also see HBO lapping up Barker's story as well so hopefully big fights for him in the future.

    a few fights coming up in the next few months that are looking a bit tasty!!! looking forward to this but unfortunately think Darren wont be able to match Martinez, his lack of head movement and defence will let him down i think

    Cause he has a chance though a clear underdog.

    Barker is absolutely huge at the weight, the guy is massive. He has got to keep martinez on the outside with a good stiff Jab and he has got to get some pop into his punches early to get some respect.

    He can't get overly flashy or careless or he will look like Williams.

    He's gonna get destroyed. He's the epitome of a eurobum. Cant believe Martinez is going back to this level, didnt he beat the **** out of enough domestic british level fighters in 2003?

    I'd feel slightly more confident of Barker having a chance if he'd have had just 1 or 2 fights at the top of the division before fighting Martinez. As it stands, in terms of quality of opposition, its a massive jump for him.
