Well, even if it is 10lb, weight draining yourself that much would be very dangerous to your health. That's like taking 8/9 pints of water out of your body and would leave someone walking around with one hell of a headache.

Forget about protein. To lose weight people reduce their calorie intake. It's that simple. Some sportsmen do this at the same time as changing the ratio of protein to carbohydrates in order to help sustain muscle. So if anything they actually eat more protein in relation to anything else. 10lbs of mass is completely stupid. 2lb a week is a considered a safe level on even strict diet.

You seem to be hung up on, Ariza said it so it must be true because he is this amazing conditioner and he has a degree in whatever and so you are blindly listening to everything. Jamie Oliver has catering qualifications and is a well known chef, doesn't mean you should believe him if he told you that if you eat 3 eggs , some butter that you'll **** out an omelette

He doesn't really eat 6800 calories, some stuff Ariza made up.

Well they must of done this in other camps he must lose the 10lbs in a good manner otherwise Khan would feel weak come fight night.

There must be some sort of body reaction to the withdrawal of protein and must be a diet change also. Cant see Alex making Khan drain too much water out of his body that is no good.

Excuse my ignorance, but if a fighter can gain 10 lbs afte re-hydrating after the weigh in, why can he not weigh 10 lbs over a week out from fight night?

The flaw your making here is assuming this statement that he is 150lb 7 days before the fight to be true.

Because that would be too logical.

There must be a cup of Olive Oil in the shake for his diet to be 6800cals.

It might seem like it's the same but it is similar as to how the body can only lose 2lb a week in mass, but by moving into KFC for 7 days you could add a hell of a lot more than that, just as people do when they go on holiday. The bodies process of gaining isn't the same as how it loses. Just as how process of building a house isn't the same as burning the ****er down.

I don't even know how eating 6800 calories could be conducive to training, he would be bloated from taking that down, day in day out.
